Called to Mind The Past

Dee POV

Flashback(2011)

She was sitting on a cement alone while waiting for the silat practice. She was quiet and got no friends there since Nurul and Aifaa were not interested in silat uniform. They chose scout uniforms and were far away from her silat place. They all got a curriculum day on Saturday accurately at zero past eight in the morning. While waiting for the curriculum to start, her peepers wandered around since she got nothing to do and suddenly a male senior drew near her from the front. She has seen him around a few times at school when she and her two best friends were strolling during recess. He then sat next to her with a 0.5-metre gap between them.

"Assalamualaikum. Hi" He greeted with a smile on his face. He almost looks short like her but a bit taller than her. 'Cutie shorty boyish' She thought.

"Waalaikummussalam. Hi" She replied casually with a 10-second smile.

"What's your name?" He asked while fidgeting with his hands.

"Madhihah but people called me Dee" She told and wondering why he was playing with his hands. Such dense and oblivious she was.

"Oh, Dee. My name is Nazri and people call me Nazri. No nickname. So... how long you've been learning silat?" He said reluctantly then looked at her eyes when he asked her another question.

"No, never. I just wanna try and this is my first time" She nonchalantly answered and her apathetic shrug shoulders were visible.

"Oh, I see. Where do you live?" He questioned her and somehow he made her a bit entertained. She was bored, to be honest waiting for the practice felt like waiting for her soulmate to show himself at this moment.

"I live in Garden Path" She replied while eyeballs looked directly upfront her as she thought the silat teacher already arrived but no.

"I live in Garden Path too" He also straightly looked at her eyes direction and was nearly shocked. Nothing was there though.

"Oh, okay..." She was not feel entertained anymore and felt hot as the bright sunlight made her sensed the beginning heat.

"From what class are you?" He queried one more question. Not showing any boredom on his countenance or voice. When this will ended?

"I'm from 1 Smart" She just answered as he might only want to get to know her precisely as a new friend.

"Oh, I'm from 2 Wise" He told her and the other students all of a sudden were hastened to their own places like someone was coming.

"O... kay..." Her peepers securely roaming at their way and saw a male teacher walking this way with his silat outfit.

"U-" The silat teacher arrived and cut him off. She began got up and queuing at the back of a line of female students.

Once the curriculum ended, he accompanied her to the bus stop while talking about silat matters and they became friends since then. They coincidentally met again after a week but this time he grinned from ear to ear and shouted her name while she just showed a lopsided smile for a minute and raised her hand replying to him. She then chuckled and slightly shook her head with his personality that she never knew he has. Zippy and genial.

3rd POV

Flashback(2013)

Aifaa and Dee were going to the toilet as Dee being Aifaa's company as always also Aifaa's bladder was full as well as cannot holding her bladder anymore. Plus, two is better than one. The excuse Aifaa chose to avoid herself from entering the class alone. Really, Aifaa? Whilst Nurul was peacefully reading her English textbook, Farahain suddenly laughing out loud. Her deskmate, Nabila was gone meeting with teacher Aimi as she wants to ask questions regarding science subject as she could not take in what teacher Aimi taught last week. It was supposed to be English time at the moment but the teacher was unwell and asked for a day leave. They all were waiting for a substitute teacher to come and take care of them yet he or she was nowhere to be seen.

"HAHAHA!" Farahain once again laughing noisily as Nurul flipped the next page while looking at her at the corner of her peepers. Her noisy laugh disrupted her concentration to read the book. She deeply inhaled and exhaled slowly and resume what she did before.

"What?!! Really?!! It's pretty hilarious, Bad!" She uttered loudly to Badri who made her laughed that hard. It was not his fault but her laugh does make her attentiveness melt away. She tried slowly read back even could not slightly focused.

"Yeah, that junior said she wants to be my girlfriend for a day and even give me a love letter but I have to turn down her offer" Badri told.

"D*mn! It's plain freaky but Amanina was better than her" Farahain replied with a high pitch tone. She surely knows how to make people incensed with dark red smoke came out of anyone's head.

"Amanina? What's with her?" He curiously asked.

"She's much better than that kid" She told and he looked at her strangely. Why Amanina out of the blue?

"She has nothing to do with this, Farahain" He said. Not wanting to be related with Amanina.

"Just saying..." She said and shrugged her shoulders after. She purposely told him that as Amanina was the best candidate to be her girlfriend. Does he want to?

'Can't she talk with a low volume? You're not alone here, b*tch! Ugh!' Nurul muttered under her breath as to why they were placed next to her table although there was a gap in the middle. She was a b*tch! Nonetheless. Her tablemate, Amanina was also there listening to them but talking. It was weird for her as Amanina was talkative but did not talk much at the minute with an unreadable expression.

'Why Amanina seemed like she was smugged but at the same time her eyeballs were moving at me like intentionally? What's wrong with her? What I did, duh? Wait! And... where is those two? Why they're taking so long? Are they making a new toilet or helping the cleaner? Ya Allah' She shook her thoughts and grab her Malay homework. She then picked up her blue pen and began writing.

10 minutes passed, she held her water bottle and gulped down thrice as she was thirsty. There was a few drops of water spilt on her hijab and a drop under her lips. She then carried on with her homework while licking the remaining water under her lips. Farahain and Zambri were throwing some crumpled papers at each other with Zambri at the front of the class and Farahain was at her table. They were laughing and calling each other eke-name such as bovine and dim-witted.

One of them suddenly threw one paper at her. Her piercing gaze shot at the two of them before she squinting the organ of sight. Zambri made a 'b*tch, I ain't nothing to do with it' countenance with hands up surrendered while Farahain smirking for a second then pretended to talk with Amanina. The smirk went noticed by her and she just stayed still. 'You will get nothing Nurul if you punch her. Nothing" She said in her thought while cooling down her nerve. She then keeps on with her homework as she had done half of it.

Pap!

One paper was thrown at her countenance for the second time and she merely stays put on her chair. 'I'm too lazy to deal with them. Do whatever you want, babies spoilt kids!' She lowly spoke under her breath. She nearly finished her homework thus she focusing what she wrote just now and ignored them both. It was Farahain who throw the crumpled paper at her but Zambri was just the same. She does not trust any of them.

Aifaa and Dee were back not long after and Zambri leisurely moved to his table ahead of Farahain and Amanina's once he saw them. Whilst Dee headed to Nurul's table and sat next to her while chatting forgot about the other one for a moment to accompany her. On the other hand, Aifaa made to get into the class but Badri detained her. She wants to enter but he made a cross onto both doors with his hands. He queried her as soon as she walked to the back door and did the same cross on it.

"Where are you going, huh?" He asked with a playful tone and wriggling his eyebrows. Why he has to pester her every time he encountered her? It made her irritated.

"It's none of your business" She harshly replied. She then rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth to stay calm.

"Uh-uh, I won't let you in if you don't tell me where you're going" He carried on annoying her as he felt fun teasing her. But not for her. Unbeknownst to him, she already reached her limit.

"I.don't.care.bloody.h*ll! What's your problem?!!" She fumed with his plague and mercilessly told him with anger written all over her face.

"You're my problem. So, where you went just now with Dee?" He casually answered while pouting like a kid. She thought he was mocking her so her blood boiled even more.

"Better you move... before I..." She showed an unreadable physiognomy where he could get a wound if he still stops her from letting her get inside from this moment.

"What, huh? What you gonna do?" He simpered then raised one of his brows.

"You really don't wanna move? Okay then... good..." She gently said while smirking inside. Not knowing what he will be facing after this, she began smiling. For him, it was a pleasing smile but for her, it was an evil smile.

"Yes, neither walked away nor let you in. You have to tell me first then I will consider" He confidently told and moved his countenance close to her to scare her. He thought she will tell him.

"Consider?" She scoffed and eyeballs roaming above then huffed. Waiting for the time.

"Yup, an- aargh!" He was interrupted when she kicked his middle part. She booted him pretty hard then walked inside. Right away went to her table. Thumbs down, Badri. Whilst he covering his private part in pain with a 'sh*t, I felt like dying' and 'I surrender' face.
