All of the gigantic guns pointed at Miki.
"You have one choice." The doctor signaled the men to point their guns down. "We do this the hard way, or the easy way."
Miki's lip trembled as he bit down on it. "Never."
The bullets shooting made Miki's ears hurt.
He dodged every one of them somehow, still attached to the chair.
His ears hurt so bad that they started bleeding dreadfully.
But then he looked up. The guns weren't even firing.
"What's wrong with him?" One man murmured to another.
"I don't know..." The other replied.
"Silence!" The doctor shouted.
Miki groaned miserably. *Ow, what the heck is happening?* He thought.
His legs felt like they were being pulled and stretched, making him lean back, having the chair top over.
It pummeled backwards, landing with a THUMP!
The chair broke in half, having Miki's head hit the bare floor.
The plastic from the chair clattered on the ground, matching the same beat as Miki's heart.
His body strained and pulled until it suddenly stopped.
"What? How'd he do that!" The men's voices were squeaks, drowning out until Miki couldn't understand them.
He looked down at himself. The peach skin he once had was now shaggy and morphed into fur.
Miki looked down at his paws.
*I did it!*
All the pain from his misery as a human faded away, and he panted cheerfully.
He hasn't changed into a wolf for so long, it messed up his vision and body, but now it was clear.
He looked to the door, but the men seemed to notice.
"1gwjI$:Hvb&!" Was all Miki heard from them. The human language was distant to him, and all he heard was nonsense.
"Herdh2$!37&." One man shouted. He reached for Miki, but he dodged away. The man hit another figure instead of him, launching the one he hit into the door. The door burst open with a creak, and the taste of freedom once again hit Miki's tongue.
He bolted towards the door, sprinting across the halls.
The air streamed through his gray fur, making him feel even more determined to get out of the place.
A speaker announced something from above his head, sounding out shrieks. More men and women crowded out, trying to catch the fugitive Miki.
Miki dived through every which one of them, eagerness flashing through his eyes.
People screamed and shouted, reaching in and out for the wolf.
Miki's as going to make the escape.
The door to his exit was starting to close, making Miki run even faster.
He ran and ran, howling at every person that grabbed him and missed.
The door was closing fast, and he needed to get out through it.
Miki came closer to the door, skidding to a slide while crouching, sliding under the last of what the door was open.
He skidded to a halt once he was outside, looking to the building he finally escaped after so many days.
He howled in relief at the fresh air, barking and twirling around. The people were banging and crying at the door, knowing that they lost the victim.
Miki swirled around at the first entrance to get in the camp, looking at the gate. It was open, and he could sprint right through it.
But it looked too easy. He just escaped that place, and now the actual exit was open and waiting.
Wasn't that peculiar and suspicious?
Miki sniffed the air, but tasted no scent of danger.
He paced at the edge of the gate, taking a paw out and in, debating whether to go or not.
His instincts told him to go while he could, but his heart said not to.
Miki rated the air again, but nothing was there.
*It seems safe....* He thought, standing ever so closely to the gate.
He reluctantly gave in to his longing and carefully walked out the gate, keeping his head low for any scents of hazard.
He walked further away form the gate, but there was nothing.
Miki walked through the eerie forest, testing the air for any danger every now and then.
His nose tickled with all the new scents, getting him excited to explore.
But he pushed down that thought and padded forward, determined to at least get out of the first and rest.
The sticky mud underneath him oozed between his cakes, making him gag.
Finally he spotted an open field up ahead.
He pricked his ears up for sounds, but heard nothing. He looked around before running towards the meadow, sprinting and dodging through the broken logs and plants.
He stopped at the edge of the woods, looking out into them.
Miki sighed heavily and sat down.
He almost fell asleep before he heard a whisper.
Something plowed forward, crunching on the leaves.
But he saw nothing as he looked around.
The whisper stopped, and he sat back down.
It sounded again a few moments after, until Miki could hear what it said.
"Hello, there, little one," The echo said.
Miki opened his jaws to say something, but then he felt himself plummeting downward, until he noticed that the meadow wasn't a meadow.
It was an illusion, and he was falling straight down a cliff.
