Joshua guiding initiates on life skills.

At twelve am the women were informed that the initiates passed through successfully without any problem they wailed and sang the songs to praise the boys for successfully undergoing initiation successfully.

Maggy and Sandy were very happy they joined the group of women to sing and dance to celebrate the success of the boys.

"I told you they are twin boys they were not going to embarrass us" Sandy said

Maggy was very emotional she shed tears of joy.

"That is true I am proud of our boys" Maggy responded.

At four am people started going back to their houses after the initiates were done being initiated the initiates were sitter on the ground for the rest of the night it was very chilly but the boys had to endure the coldness if the night until dawn.

Early morning the boys slept on the ground their attendant made sure that they gave them blankets for them to sleep without any problem.

The homestead was quiet you could only hear the birds sing and the smoke hovered at the homestead women were busy preparing food for the initiates Maggy and Sandy made sure that they brought the water from the stream.

Joshua woke up the attendant brought food to the initiates he was very hungry he had not eaten from the previous night the attendant reckoned he served him food and the initiates.

Joshua sat facing the initiates he yawned he was now full.

"My children I am happy that you successfully passed through the initiation I was worried but I was having a wrong opinion about you, congratulations" Joshua said.

The initiates nodes showing that they have concurred with the elder Robin and David looked at each other they know the old man wants to tell a very sweet story.

"I wish he could start with the soldiering story his he fought in the second world war" Robin whispered.

"Me too I am yearning for the story very much" David whispered back.

Joshua cleared his throat ready for the stories.

"It was in 1939 I remember just like yesterday when Hitler wanted to dominate the world with his military might, that was the day I was twenty years old our commander to us that we are going to Britain to protect their country from Hitler invasion" Joshua started the story.

"I was so naive I thought the war was only for joyriding but I got it all wrong, war is a mater of life and death" Joshua said emotionally.

"We had been trained to shoot, to operate bulldozers use heavy machine gun and even the hand grenade we boarded the plane from Mombasa airport to London England I was exited to have boarded a military plane for the first time" Joshua continued.

He coughed the initiates were listening to the story but it was interrupted when Joshua coughed, he cleared the throat and spit it out that made the initiates uncomfortable.

"No sooner than we alighted in England than the Hitler's plane bombarded the city into ruins, Winston Churchill British prime minister then called the crisis meeting, the general attended and Winston Churchill gave an emotional speech to the elite soldiers" Joshua narrated.

The boys followed the narrative not even. moving their faces to different direction.

"When Britain went to war on 3 September 1939 there was none of the 'flag-waving patriotism' of August 1914. The British people were now resigned to the fact that Hitler had to be stopped by force" Joshua added

" After the generals meeting with the prime minister generals were ordered to take the military to Poland to fight Hitler's soldiers immediately we arrived at Poland we had to combat heavily armed German military that was the time I realized that I will never return to back home again but we had to fight hard to make Hitler's soldiers retreat.

Who won in that battle" Robin asked.

"We won but we lost many soldiers and we had many casualties its a sad story to tell" Joshua said emotionally.

The story was very sad there was an eerie of silence the initiates looked at one another and figure out how people suffered and also how devastating the war was, they were still experiencing pain when they heard the story they forgot the pain listened to a moving story.

The evening approached evening meals were brought the initiates ate and slept early the smoke hovering Joshua sat at the fireplace as the initiates slept on the mat and covered themselves with blankets.

Maggy and Sandy were busy assembling everything for the following day they sat while Sarah slept early since she was tired she didn't have enough sleep the previous night.

"Now we are all alone we can discuss about the transfer letter" Sandy said.

"That is a good idea we need to be very smart and also organize our belonging to our next station" Maggy said.

"Its hard we are going to part but we have to for the better of us two" Sandy said.

"Its unbearable if anyone will take our boys away from us" Maggy said

There was a call from one of the new nurses who saw Martha's family in Sandy and Maggy's house Maggy picked.

"You had visitors yesterday immediately after you had gone" The nurse said.

"Who and yet we were not expecting anyone" Maggy asked.

Sandy looked at Maggy anxiously she realized how she was uncomfortable when Maggy is talking with the the nurse.

"Did they tell you their names?" Maggy asked.

"Yes the woman who was with them the name was Martha" Nurse responded.

Maggy's phone fell and break its screen she was very frightened.

"What is wrong you've broke the phone" Sandy said.

"We have bad news, Martha visited us immediately after we left we were very lucky" Maggy said

Sandy very shocked woke up from his seat became dizzy almost fell with shock.

"We need to plan what to do right now?" Maggy asked.

"What we need to do is immediately transfer our belonging to the hospital we were transferred to as early as Monday" Maggy suggested.

"I think that is the best idea let's plan as soon as possible so that as boys came out of initiation we are going to take them directly to our place where we've been transferred to" Sandy said
