Twin brothers joined military medical school.

Maggy was still surprised as to why David didn't inform him that he was going to join the military she sat in the sitting room feeling fatigued she saw David's bicycle but no one to ride she wanted to put on the television to watch but she was not able to do anything, she had no energy to do anything, she saw where David normally sits and read or held a remote and switched to the channels he like

"My son, what did I do to you that you left without telling me?" Maggy asked herself.

"If anything happens to you I will never forgive myself, or if Martha finds you I don't know what to do I will die for my ignorance," Maggy said to herself.

"There was a knock at the door he knocked like David Maggy rushed and opened it was Silvia.

Come on in I thought you are David" Maggy said.

It was Silvia she came in.

"Good morning ain't you going to work today? Silvia asked.

"It my off duty I was supposed to go but my boss advised me not to" Maggy replied.

"Where is David where did he go?" Silvia asked.

Maggy kept quiet and looked at Silvia.

"It's you who should know where he is it seems you are pretending you don't know anything," Maggy said angrily

"I don't know where he is but I know David he can't make a reckless decision he is a very wise man," Silvia said.

"I remember when we were at school teachers used to consult him on certain issues he was a very wise student" Silvia reiterated.

"Do you know that he joined the military?" Maggy asked.

"What!" Silvia interjected.

"I remember him talking about beings a soldier I thought he was just joking I mean he was talking childhood talk like when I grow up I will become an engineer," Silvia said.

"It means he was serious in what he was doing and saying" Silvia added.

"I know him when he says something you will never know that he is serious in what he was saying, you have to be keen," Maggy said.

"It now three months I have never seen my baby boy David a wise man in Kisumu city who came to Kisumu city as a village boy," Maggy said.

"I miss him too but it will be well he used to talk about three things being a soldier being a doctor also he talked about you Maggy as his mother," Silvia said.

There was an eerie silence Maggy thought heard Silvia realize that Maggy has not eaten anything she rushed into the kitchen and prepared breakfast for Maggy, Maggy sat as she thinks to meet his boy a soldier with his mind.

David and his colleagues were in parade now well-trained soldiers ready to go for combat, they had already mastered all the shooting skills parade skills also the jungle fight skills urban combat, and the martial art, Major general Ken came out of his office with several files the soldiers were surprised to see him in very colorful attire.

The soldiers saluted.

Major Damsel saluted and pave way for him to address the soldiers.

"So far so good you've almost exhausted everything without any of you being injured or dying but I am happy with the soldiers who are trained this year you were the most disciplined soldiers bravo!" Major general Ken said.

"Yes sir!" Soldiers bellowed.

"I need the following soldier who will join the rest of the soldiers to train to be our doctor or military doctors who will be articulating the soldier's medical welfare," Ken said.

"David gen," Ken said

"Yes sir!" David bellowed.

David matched quickly in front and saluted.

Major general Ken saluted back and handed to him some papers.

"Here is your admission paper for the military training school right away you are going to the medical college to be trained as a medical doctor as we as also you are now fully a soldier," Ken said.

"Yes sir!" David shouted

"As for the rest of the soldiers prepare well there is a mission you are going to we are waiting for the chief of the defense forces to give us direction immediately after you finish your training," Ken said.

"Yes sir!" Soldiers responded.

Major general Ken went back to the office as soldiers continued with their training David followed him from behind to his office.

"Soldier_ what is only remaining is for you to be fully trained as a doctor, in the course of your training we have several soldiers who need your attention they are currently in Somalia fighting the terrorist group" major general Ken reiterated.

"I know you are a brilliant soldier very soon you are going to graduate to become a military doctor and you are not going to be sent for combat missions but to treat injured soldiers," Ken said.

Ken picked up his phone and called a soldier, the soldier came in and saluted.

"Yes sir," the soldier said.

"Bring the medical military ambulance and take your soldier to the medical military school" Ken ordered.

The soldier rushed David remembered his mother he wanted to know how she was doing but it was not possible, he gained courage.

"Sir would you let me call my mother I know she is worried," David asked.

"Yes, by this time you can interact with your loved one also with the civilians you've been trained and pass through all the stages a soldier is required to pass through," Ken said.

"Use my phone to call her right away before you go to the military medical training school," Ken said

Davis was very happy to hear that he received the phone and called his mother. Maggy seated with Silvia taking breakfast the phone rang Maggy since when David joined the military he does not miss any calls, Maggy rushed and picked up the call.

"This is David your son I am sorry for not informing you that I am joining the military college," David said.

"You should not apologize, my son, it's me who should apologize," Maggy said happily.

'I am doing good I have finished the three months of training now as we talk I am going to the military medical training school to be trained as a doctor" David said.

"Good to hear that I am glad that you made that decision and soon you are going to be a doctor congratulation my son," Maggy said happily.

Silvia jumped up and down in happiness she wanted to talk with him she pegged Maggy to give her a phone.

"Here is Silvia your former school mate she wants to talk to you," Maggy said.

Give her the phone.

Maggy handed the phone to her.

"Long time military doctor," Silvia said.

"It tries a long time how are you doing," David said.

"We are fine why didn't you inform me the day of the recruitment we go together?" Silvia said.

"You were not around I asked your parents and they told me that you went to the village to great your grand patents" David responded.

"It's true I now remember to see you soon," David said.

Silvia gave back the phone to Maggy.

"Very soon I will be having my phone I will be calling you soon let me report to the military medical training school and we shall be communicating together," David said.

"When are you coming home," Maggy asked.

I don't want to promise you anything but I believe immediately after I finish the medical training I will be permitted to visit you" David responded.

The military ambulance arrived David terminated the call saluted major general Ken and set off to the military medical training school.

Maggy and Silvia were happy to have received the call from David for the first time in three months, they celebrated by running around the room and hugging one another.

"My son loved me I thought he has forgotten me I am happy," Maggy said happily.

"He is doing well I am glad he is doing well he said he is coming soon," Silvia said.

Maggy prepared and rushed to the hospital.

"I thought you were sick you informed me through the phone," Director said.

"I have recovered what had affected me was my son he didn't explain to me why he had joined the military and he didn't inform me" Maggy explained

The director laughed at Maggy.

"Remember and bearing your mind this, the moment your child receives the national identity card he is at liberty to make his or her decision without consulting you," Director said.

"To me, David is a shrewd man I am calling him a man because he chose the best decision ever," Director said.

"Do you know how much you could have paid for David to go to medicine at the university? Director asked.

"Do you know that David will receive the best-specialized education in Kenya courtesy of the Kenyan military? Director asked.

"I have my colleagues in the military they are well remunerated than the civilian doctors," Director said.

Maggy became embarrassed with her act of not wanting David to join the military her other colleagues looked at her conversing with the director of the hospital.

"I have understood and I know the reason as to why my son didn't tell me I was so ignorant," Maggy said regrettably.

"If my son gets such an opportunity I will not hesitate but command him to join" Director reiterated.

Within three months from now, your son will receive military salary and the doctor's salary at the same time you need only to be patient and not be very understanding for him he just graduated from a very rigorous military training" Director said.

"When they are having a pass-out graduation please inform me," Director said.

"All the hospital staff will go including me, we will use a hospital staff bus you will not pay anything because you are our staff and your son David is our son" Director assured.

Director went into his office, and Maggy's workmates came closer they heard what their boss said.

"Congratulations you mean your son is in the military training to be a doctor" Edith her colleague asked.

The other colleagues came closer to listen to what Maggy would reply.

"Yes but I didn't like the idea but the director has explained to me that it was the best idea" Maggy responded.

"Congratulations your son is a doctor at the same time he is a soldier," Edith told her.

"It was foolish of me not to allow him not to join the military I thought something might happen to him," Maggy said.

"Don't worry it will be well with you" Edith said.

"He had his reasons as to why he didn't tell nonetheless he made the wisest decision," Edith said.

"When the director talked with you I thought you are in trouble our director is a no-nonsense man I'm glad he was talking about your son and we all know that we are all going for a pass-out graduation very soon" Edith reiterated.

It was time for them to return to work at two O'Clock in the afternoon they rushed to their places of work.
