Chapter Three

Dalla's P.O.V

I woke up with migraine. I hoped out of bed instantly regretting that action.I held my head when a knock on the door caused the migraine to worsen.

"Dalla are you up yet?" Sherry's voice sounds from behind the door. I search for a robe. It was quite embarrassing that I'm in the same outfit as yesterday. I only managed to slip out of my pants quickly I was too sleepy to do anything else.I found the fluffy one I'd used the day before and placed it on then open the door. I was grateful the hallway was dimly lit. She takes one look at me and realizes i'm not feeling well. "Dalla what's the matter." She says concern causing her to frown.

"I have a migraine." I say rubbing my temples."I was going to take something when you knocked."

"Can I come in?" She asks and I nod going over to my suitcase I'd barely unpacked and took out a Advil box. A sweet aroma came from my kitchen and I walked into it to see Sherry brewing tea. Green tea to be exact.

"I'm guessing you didn't look in the cupboard to see it fully stocked as well as the fridge?" She says with a smirk. I nod sheepishly. I hadn't thought about it being filled already. I thought I'd need to go grocery shopping.

"Yeah our sponsor Little Brooke's Ltd. they thought of everything." She says with a smile.

"I knew that some perks would come of having a sponsor like the Brookes but not this." I say looking into a cupboard to see snacks and different canned goods. I knew the Brookes all too well. I dated their son after all. His family has been the bands sponsor from the very beginning of the band and long before I came to the church with my family. We were invited to Church by our neighbors the Collins and instantly fell in love with the music and decided to make the Franklin church ours. My mother, Father and brother had found their place at the church but I'd felt left out not knowing what I was supposed to do. I was a dancer for a year or so, seeing as I was dancing my entire life. I even joined the youth choir but I also wanted to do more.

"Dalla, are you listening?" Sherry says breaking me from my thoughts. I look at her sheepishly once more and she sighs.

"I was saying if you want to go down to breakfast you can or you could stay and rest." She says handing me the tea. I take it saying a thank you.

"I think I'll stay." I say knowing this migraine is going to ruin my entire day if I decide to go out. So I tell her I'd be staying in and she nods as I head back to my bed after taking an Advil pill. Advil was always my go to painkiller when panadol didn't seem to work on me anymore.

"Well the rest of us are going to breakfast except Cameron he also isn't feeling well. Do you want me to bring you anything?" She asks and I say no knowing I'd get something from my fully stocked fridge.

"No thank you I'll make something for myself." I say with a smile. She says an okay and turns to leave when she stops.

"Maybe you could also make something for Cameron." She says and I said I'd think about it and she leaves. My head hits my pillow when another knock on the door is heard moments later. I was hoping I could get some rest and wait for the Advil to work before I make my breakfast but whoever was out there seemed to not be going away. So with a groan I got up and headed over to the door and opened it to reveal Cameron in sweats and a sleepy look on his face. I have to say he looked pretty cute as he tries to rub the sleep away.

"Um, Sherry told me you weren't feeling well also and I came to check on you." He says putting his hands in his pockets and rocking on his heels.

"I also heard you weren't feeling well either." I say with a small smile.

"Yeah I kinda slept bad and now my shoulders are hurting." He says and I frown then an idea comes into my head.

"Do you want a massage?" I ask without thinking. My mouth was always one step ahead of my brain making my life hell.

"You know how?" He asks surprised.

"Well I'm not a professional but I do it for my mother a lot when she comes home with a sore back." I say shrugging.

"She's a nurse so I understand. Yes I would like to have a massage." He says and I open the door wider. He walks in and takes a seat on the couch and I go behind him. I begin at his neck removing the knots hearing a groan from him. I smile feeling good that my massage was working. I moved to his left shoulder first then to his right feeling him relax under my touch. His muscles felt so good under my fingers. I never thought I'd be so close to him, even more giving him a massage.

"You have some magical hands." He says when I'm done as he rolls his shoulders. I smile at his comment.

"Are you hungry?" I asked feeling my own hunger growing.

"Not terribly. Why?" He asks and I tell him I was thinking of making pancakes for myself. "I heard from everyone that your cakes are the best so I'm guessing your pancakes are just as good." He says and he smiles widely.

"I guess my baking skills even got to people who didn't get a chance to taste my cakes." I say with a slight smile as I get up and go into the kitchen and grabbed the ingredients I'll use. I took out two bowls because I usually separate the liquid from the solids. All except for sugar. I Whisk it in with the egg. I add vegetable oil in place of butter and then added vanilla essence. I then begin with the dry ingredients. I was really glad everything I'd need was there for me to find. I dusted the baking powder in with the flour. I then poured the egg mixture into the flour and stirred as I did so. I turned on the stove and brought a pan from a cupboard and placed it onto the heat. I then poured a little oil just to grease the pan and began to cook the pancakes. I stacked them in a plate and took out some syrup not pouring on any because this plate was for Cameron and I wasn't sure if he wanted syrup and if he did how much he'd want. I place the plate on the glass table when I walked out. Cameron had turned on the television and was watching a movie it looked like; making him not notice I'd brought the plate. I tapped him and told him I was finished and headed back into the kitchen to make myself some. By the time I was finished there was some batter left over so I put it up in a container for tomorrow. I took my plate and took a seat next to Cameron picking up the syrup and pouring a little on my pancake. I then took a fork and cut a piece of the pancake. It was so fluffy and I loved it.

"Your pancakes are amazing." I hear Cameron say. I couldn't agree more they were so soft, fluffy and delicious. I said a thank you and began to watch the movie with him not really following the story.
