Chapter 244: Saving The Autumn Province
Lord Monsoon crumbled.
Everyone defeated him.
The night had passed.
It was dawn at the witch village and all the witches finally regained their consciousness and they were able to do whatever they wished again. All the apprentice witches of the Autumn tribe slowly gathered around Junk, who led the attack against Monsoon. The apprentices now surrounded the Halloween knight, September, Bridget, April, and Pepo.
"We did it…" April was reassured that it finally worked and that Monsoon was finally done for.
"We sure did," Pepo shook her head.
"Big sister! We no longer have anything to worry about!" overjoyed, Bridget reached to her big sister.
"Oh, so does that mean we are no longer going to have to run away from you, now?" September responded to her little wicked sister with a playful smirk.
"Shut up!" Bridget casually pushed her.
They both smiled and they both laughed.
"Junk! What's wrong!" Then, April cut between the two witch sisters as she finally noticed that there was something wrong with Junk.
Junk was sitting on top of a mountain of debris at the center of town. A couple of houses and other buildings of the village had, unfortunately, been rampaged during the vigorous battle. It looked like the knight was passively sitting on a tall hill.
His back was facing September, Bridget, April, and Pepo.
"Junk?" September wondered what was up with him.
"Is he alright?" Bridget wondered the exact same thing.
Everyone rushed to him, and circled around him, so they could all see what was so wrong with him…
Junk had lost green armor.
It was completely gone.
In fact, the green slime was nowhere to be seen, which was quite strange. Steam was blowing off the body of the visibly injured demonic knight. With the armor off, he was left in his torn and ripped civilian clothes.
"Greenie is… Gone…" April finally came to this conclusion after she had searched through the debris. Naturally, she soon came to Junk after that to make sure he was okay.
"What do you mean he's gone?" September asked April.
"He gave up his life for me…" then, it was Junk who finally did some explaining.
"That's what I thought…" April mentioned.
"The green slime sacrificed himself for you?" September didn't see that one coming, but Junk could tell that she was glad he did.
"Monsoon tried destroying me at the same time that vanquished him. It would have worked if he didn't protect me."
"He was a hero. I'm glad you're okay, Junk," filled with strong emotions, April came down to her knees and then hugged her man tight.
"April…" Junk didn't expect that surprising hug.
"To be fair, Greenie, as you name him or whatever, was an extension of Junk. He was him. The cauldron was a magical extension of him, so that must be he wanted to protect him so much," September declared as she remembered the different properties and abilities of her old master's cauldron.
"We shall honor that slime in the village," Bridget stepped closer to the others.
"That'd be a great idea," Pepo agreed with that.

Later that morning, the witch village could finally begin coming back to normal after such much recent chaos.
The wicked town and its inhabitants had come so close to being conquered by Lord Monsoon that everyone in the village could feel this dreaded sentiment within them. However, thanks to Junk, September, Bridget, April, Pepo and, of course, Greenie, as well, everyone was reassured with hope. There was finally hope.
After the exhausting battle, Junk was the one who recovered the four orbs of lights representing the four seasons.
The orbs had fallen and crumbled beneath lots of debris, but Junk found them.
Their lights could still be observed, but they were fading fast…
Yet, just like the inhabitants of the witch village, there was still hope for the lights to be restored.
"The orbs…" Junk declared as Pepo came to join him.
"You found them," she was glad he did.
"If Monsoon had been able to unite the four of them, something terrible would have happened…" September knew that too well.
"What would have happened exactly?" Junk asked her.
"The four provinces of the world would have been united into one land and the the four seasons would then share any given year," Bridget interrupted September and explained to him what would have happened if Junk didn't stop Monsoon.
"You mean that during a year, the season would actually change overtime instead of each province having their own seperate season and climate?" Junk's eyes widened as he asked if this was truly what he thought nearly came to be.
"That's exact," September told him, "could you imagine something like this ever happening? Four different seasons happening everywhere in the world at the same time. That'd be strange, right?" September mentioned.
"This would have destroyed the entire ecosystem of the world," Junk was convinced.
"Thankfully, it didn't happen," September said with a comforting tone as it seemed like she was trying to cheer everyone up.
The wind blew in her beautiful apple red hair.
There was hope for the future.
"So, what happens now?" Bridge, the witchy young sister asked.
For once, she looked at her older sister and wished she could rely on her.
This had not happened in a long, long time…
This was a new beginning.
Not only for the two sisters, but for everyone in town.
"I hope you're going to quit chasing us for starters," September chuckled as she let her young sister know that the time was over.
"Don't try to dare me, big sis," Bridget smiled at her.
"If anything, I'll make sure that doesn't happen again. I'll keep the two of you in check," Junk told the pair of witches.
Everyone at the witch town gathered around.
Everyone was about to start celebrating. Something they had not done in forever.
Junk felt like he had finally purpose in life.
He had found his family.
