Land of Gods

"Guardian?" Jiang Chen inquired, perplexed.

"That's right, a guardian, my job is only to look after this land and help the lord of this land," Nana said as if she'd been doing all the work for millions of years.

"Then, do you happen to know how to get out of here?" Jiang Chen was curious. He'd been looking for a way back to his home ever since he arrived in this strange land, but all he could see was a cosmos at the land's edge.

"You want to leave?"Nana inquired, looking perplexed, and then inquired again. "I assumed you'd come here to inherit the land. If not, you must have come here for another reason."

Jiang Chen waved his hand, saying, "No, I came here by accident, I have no idea how I got here." Then he told Nana about falling unconscious after failing to awaken, and how when he awoke, he was here.

"I believe you are mistaken; it's not that you did not awaken, but you have awakened, which is why you're here, and your ability is one of the rarest that has only been seen in the hands of God of Gods," Nana explained to Jiang Chen that his presence here was not by chance.

"God of Gods?"

"The God of Gods was, indeed, the most powerful of all, but he was betrayed by his disciple. Women, power, and especially this land were all things that his disciple desired, so he plotted against his own master. But, before dying at the hands of his disciple, the God of Gods detonated himself as a last resort, and because his power was too great, he destroyed countless realms."

"Nana, do you know what kind of ability the God of Gods possessed?" Jiang Chen is unconcerned about what happened to the god of gods; instead, he is interested in learning his ability after hearing Nana say that it is the same as the god of gods'.

"Of course, I served the God of Gods. After all, his ability had something to do with space and time, and I'm sure it was the same as yours because this god's land is very far away from your realm. It means that while you were unconscious, your soul traveled through space and time to get here, which only the god of gods could do."

"How do I get back if this place is so far away?" Jiang Chen expressed concern. He wondered what would happen to his body if his soul was not with him.

"Don't worry, there are two choices."

"Really?" Jiang Chen was ecstatic.

"One is to learn how to use your abilities. Learning your abilities does not sound bad. However, it will take a long time." Nana said

"How long will it be?" Jiang Chen inquired because he, too, believed that he should first learn his ability before doing anything else. After all, it was his long dream to become strong.

"It depends on your talent; if you are a genius, it may take you around ten thousand years; if you lack a talent for cultivation, perhaps a million years will suffice."

"WHAT!!! Then I'll be dead before I master my ability, won't I?" Jiang Chen is distressed. "There's no way I'm going to live that long."

Jiang Chen is aware that warriors in his continent are only a few thousand years old. He'd never heard of anyone living for a million years before.

Nana laughed when she heard Jiang Chen say "hahaha."

Nana laughed again and said, "Now the second option is to inherit this land of gods."

Nana continued, seeing Jiang Chen puzzled "Although this place was ruined after the god's destruction, it can be repaired, and it has many functions. and one of them is that you can travel across multiple realms, but I doubt you will be able to do so because you will need strength first before attempting to cross into other realms."

Jiang Chen pondered as if there was no way such an offer could be without a catch, then asked, "After inherent, do I need to do anything or will I get responsibility in return?"

Nana nodded and said, "Of course, as an inheritor, you would have to restore this land to its former glory."

"Is that it?" Jiang Chen was taken aback and expressed his skepticism.

Nana nodded, even though she knew there was a lot more to it than restoring this land. She refrained from saying anything else because she didn't want Jiang Chen to feel pressured.

"Do you agree?" Nana inquired, her face bright.

Jiang Chen agreed with a nod.

"Great! Now all you have to do is connect your soul to the land, and you're done "Nana smiled as she pulled out a glowing orb from nowhere.

"Put your hand on this core, and it will recognize you as the owner."

As he placed his hand, Jiang Chen had the sensation that everything around him was connected to him and that anything on this land was within his grasp.

"Congratulations, Master, and thank you for accepting the responsibility of restoring this land of the Gods," Nana said with a smile.

"Master?" Jiang Chen inquired, his gaze fixed on the beauty in front of him.

"Yes, Master, as the guardian of this land, I will be under your care from now on."

Jiang Chen nodded and didn't bother to argue being called master, and then said, "Thank you and please take care of me too."

Nana smiled and said, "Of course!"

"Now then, Master, do you want to go back to your realm, or do you want to still roam around this palace?"

"I want to return now. Aunty Xue is still waiting for me." Jiang Chen said as he remembered Xue Bing.

"But how do I get back here? After all, I still have a responsibility here, even if I'm not sure what I can do."

Don't worry, master; anything you don't know, you can always ask me, and how to get back here, you'll know once you get back to your body."

Jiang Chen nodded, "then please send me back."

"Master, you only need to imagine where you want to go and the portal will reveal it. This is something that you should do because if you let me do it, I might not be able to locate the exact location."

Jiang Chen nodded and Imagine the house where he lives with Xue Bing.
