Chapter 063

Alvin got out of the Red Castle, and stood next to the sleeping Ennoru. He had nearly lost control due to what he saw, and hence he went inisd the Red Castle, and sealed his memory of the thing he saw inside using the throne imbibed with a Dreamwalker characteristic. He could still recall what he saw, but the exact picture was sealed in the deepest part of his subconscious.

He was curious of Ennoru avoided that horrifying contamination, and hence was determined to through search his dreams using the Dream World Hat.

And unlike the method which he used on the villagers, where he would use questions to guide them into giving up information, he was planning to use an intrusive method to directly force his dreams in the direction he wants, skipping the guidance part.

He used the Dream Walker Hat to ensure that he was fast asleep, and entered his dream.

He then used force to make him relieve all the experiences regarding this cave.

After a while, Alvin sighed as he looked down at the sleeping Ennoru. He was actually a smart man with decent luck. The ridiculous stories about him back in the village were false of course, but his luck was still not bad. Over two years ago, when he had gone into the forest to gather berries, he was chased by a bear. He ended up escaping, but got lost. He eventually found this hidden cave, and explored it on a whim. He got lost in the maze in the tunnel, and walked in random directions. Due to a small accident, a large amount of sand and dirt blew into his eyes, and blinded him. Without water, he couldn't wash it off, and could only stumble around blind. He had somehow reached the stone blocking the inner chamber, and groped around in there, completely blind. He felt a few things, and grabbed them. His eyes were clearing up due to tears, and he could see again, so he walked out.

Once he could see clearly, he panicked because some of the things he grabbed were human bones! But there were two things that seemed out of place. A beautiful pearl necklace, and a glowing bulb. He wore the necklace, and felt an overwhelming urge to do as he pleased. He swallowed the blob in his hand, as he similarly had an urge to do so. After a few painful moments, he opened his eyes, and realised that he seemed to have magical powers!

He went back to the village in triumph. With his newfound powers, and amazing luck which he discovered he had, made him a very influential person in the village.

He caused a lot of problems for the villages, but they tolerated it due to fear.

One day, a person came to the village. He easily defeated Ennoru when they clashed, but did not make things difficult for him. He explained some knowledge on Beyonders, and taught him a few things.

Ennoru then shared about the location of the treasure which allowed him to become a Beyonder, and the other person went with him, intrigued. They managed to find the entrance after a few days of searching, and the stone that was blocking the way further after another couple of hours.

Ennoru decided to lay down for a while as he was tired, but the other man went in.

Within moments, Ennoru heard screams, and it grew quiet. Ennoru was frozen in shock and fear, as he believed that there was a monster behind the rock, so he ran away.

After a few days, he revisited the location after calming down. The fact that he couldn't see the first time, and he was okay, along with the fact that the other person was yelling about their eyes, gave him a bold idea. So he blindfolded himself, shifted the stone and walked in. Sure enough, when he saw nothing, he was wholly unharmed. Unable to see, he groped around, and found a bunch of random things, which he brought outside. Once outside, he noticed that there were a few blobs just like the ones he had eaten, but instinctively knew that he couldn't eat one of the blobs. Hence, recalling the story of the cities, the luxuries there, and opportunities, he decided to go to Backlund.

He slowly learnt how to join gatherings, hide and use his powers. He sold a few of the blobs for a decent amount of money, but later learnt that he had been underpaid. But after a few months of his extravagant lifestyle, he was broke once more. Hence, he came back to the village and entered the cave. He redid the same thing as last time, and got some more blobs. This time, he was determined to sell them at their actual value. He also discovered that the plants here could promote blood flow, and had special properties of delaying ageing through a coincidence. He thus used it to control the only village remotely close to his secret treasure house.

The necklace which he had on him, which he just named the Lucky Necklace, could randomly increase his luck some amount during certain days. He could identify how lucky he was on a particular day by flipping a coin multiple times, wishing for one result.

He used the luck granted by the necklace to great use and convenience. But as a negative effect, he would frequently lose his sense of restraint. The greater the increased luck, the more severe the loss of restraint.

Thankfully, he found that as long as he periodically vented his dark desire, he could still remain in control most of the time. Hence, he vented his dark desires on the villagers of Blue Cliff Village, and some poor commoners in Backlund and the surrounding cities.

With most of the elders dependant on him due to the plants, he kept a tight leash on the simple minded villagers who weren't aware that simply reporting him to the Church would be enough to destroy him.

"Well, so much for that. I guess treasure trove here, the Lucky Necklace, the age delaying plants, and all the many secrets he stumbled upon due to luck but was unable to act upon are all mine now" thought Alvin, as he used a quick slice to the throat to dispatch the only other person who knew of this location.

As he waited for his Apprentice characteristic to condense, he was wondering how to proceed.
