Testing

The new first boy walked up to instructor Green, she quickly rolled her eyes "We don't have all day hand over your ID and state your ability"

The boy did as instructed "my ability is control over fire"

"Lets see what you can do then" Green replied, she quickly sent the boy over to what looked like a machine to test punch power but much bigger, "hit it with your strongest attack"

The boy nodded and took a few steps back from the machine, he closed his eyes and then he completely burst into flames, the heat could be felt from where Tristan was standing, and he was amazed that an ability could be so seemingly strong. The boy covered in flames soon jumped forward and sent out a superman punch at the machine, as his fist and body started moving forward it appeared that the flames were working as rockets to push his speed faster, he quickly made contact with the bag. As the hit a deafening crash was heard and the bag rocked a couple of times then it lit up displaying the pounds that it registered the hit as.

1000lbs

2000lbs

3000lbs

...all the way till it stopped at 11000 pounds

"Not bad" Green stated as she ushered him to what appeared to be a track to test speed. The boy quickly went through all the tests and seemed to do incredible yet instructor green barely gave him praise more than not bad. Soon the next couple of students went, none even coming close to the first boy, all having abilities that really didn't seem impressive or interesting. It was soon time for Tristan to go, he quickly stepped up to the instructor with his ID ready to hand to her, she grabbed it from him and frowned. "I told everybody without abilities to go already what are you still doing here?"

Here goes nothing Tristan thought "I was able to get an ability before I arrived here Instructor"

"What is it then? if you are lying, I don't have time for your nonsense so don't be wasting my time."

"It is a wolf transformation ability ma'am" Trisan hurriedly said

"Hmmm is that so, show me then" Green stated still thinking that he was lying a wolf ability while not incredibly strong was rare and tending to be very useful so the chances of this kid having got it were impossible in her mind.

Tristan quickly activated his full transformation into his large red wolf form, he then half transformed back to his partial form and then back to his human form. Stunned that she was wrong Green just shrugged "guess you weren't lying alright head to the attack test" internally she was impressed if he had just gotten his ability the fact he could complete a partial transformation already was incredible his talent must be through the roof, all animal or beast transformations more or less can do a partial transformation but it normally takes years for a person to learn it where at the tops this kid did it in 2 weeks.

Tristan quickly transformed partially and walked over to the bag, he lined himself up and quickly activated dash doubling his speed and threw out a punch as hard and fast as he could, much stronger than the blow he took out the great moose with. He slammed into it and sent the bag swinging. Everybody was stunned especially the instructor, it looked almost the same as the first boy with the fire the numbers on the bag started going up and they stopped at 10,000 pounds, just short of the first boy. Tristan was overjoyed he had never been good at anything in his life and he had just beat almost everybody that had went, his life was really turning around he thought.

He then headed towards the speed test where it was just running a lap around the track as fast as he could, he transformed into his full wolf form and activated dash, thanks to practicing in this form he didn't have any troubles and he quickly got through the test, he finished third in this test, behind the fire boy and a girl had had some sort of speed ability. The next test was about senses, he had to stand on a platform and orbs that had different properties would shoot towards him and he was supposed to dodge them, some orbs weren't visible just made noise some were silent and came from a blind spot but had a distinctive smell etc... it tested all the senses and the student's agility/reaction time. Tristan quickly began the test and he found it incredible easy, glad he bumped up his perception he could tell exactly where each orb was and easily dodged each one, for the spectators he had no wasted movement like all the others and it seemed like he was just casually dodging each one. When the test was over, he finished with a perfect score getting first and beating the first boy by three orbs.

"Looks like we have a perfect tracker for us to mold" thought instructor green to herself, trackers were very important and a perfect one was rare to come by so she was quite excited and begin to fill out the report that would be sent out to her superiors to inform them. The next couple tests Tristan had to take were exactly that just written tests, he finished them and got average scores giving him decent intelligence, but his personality test gave him a type instead of a score which confused him, it told him his personality type was Charismatic Loner: preferred to be alone but did well in certain groups, all personalities have chances to change. That was the description he was given, seemed fair enough about the loner part but not really the charismatic part, but he thought he never had tried to show anybody his real self so it could be true now that people would actually pay attention to him. As he thought this he realized it was a little messed up how rough it was for people without abilities, he wanted to change this but in the end he didn't have anything that made him deeply care about it, even when he didn't have an ability he was always striving to get stronger, the people who didn't even try, disgusted him, to him they didn't even attempt to pull their weight and that was almost as bad as how they were treated by ability users in his mind.

Tristans tests were done so he shuffled over to watch the rest of the students, no one got their final potential score until everybody was done so he had to wait and watch, which was fine by him because for some reason the talkative boy Crim that was behind him intrigued him a little bit, he felt some sort of pull to him, so he watched attentively as Crim stepped up to start his test.
