All her hopes shattered. She felt a pain like someone struck her with a sharp knife. She screamed and cried loud but tears didn't come out. Maybe the pain was much big. She was as much shocked that she didn't even blink. She didn't move a little. She only sat there for almost half an hour, her eyes fixed at the body. She was in such a grief that can't be explained. Her mind got blank.
After half an hour her mind thought of her women friend. She didn't have much hope of her to be alive but still she can't believe it until she found her dead body. She searched for some time and witnessed the most terrible scene of her whole life. Her friend's name was Julia. She found her body half burnt. She closed her eyes tightly when she first took a sight at it. Her condition was worse than she ever thought.
And now she knew it very well that she alone had survived the accident.
She mourned for long. After gaining consciousness only one thought crossed her mind i.e., to run away. Being alone with three dead bodies is surely not a good idea. She thought about reaching home anyhow and informs their loved ones or police about the accident. Also she wanted to fulfill all the last rites of her friends. Hence, she stood up and followed the path back from they came here. After sometime she reached to the main road at the point from where car slipped to that sloping muddy road. She actually climbed that road and got here. There was very dark as it was the middle of night. The road was deserted. No one was there as far as human eye can see. She again sat at the side of road mourning her fate or worried about getting home. The road reminds her of their beautiful journey that turned to be disastrous.
After an hour she heard sound of rattling of a car. She quickly stood up and tried to stop it screaming;
Help! Help!
But it doesn't stop. It passed like a storm. It seemed like the driver didn't listened her. A ray of hope occupied her mind when she thought maybe more vehicles were on way. But for almost fifteen minutes the road was deserted again until a van passed by. She tried her best to stop that too but all in vain. Her struggle continued to two hours or more. No one stopped as if they were unable to hear her. She cursed the people as she thought they don't want to help.
Rage overcomes her depression. So when she heard the sound of a bolero she decided to either stop it or die. She had to go home as fast as possible. Also, she knew that if it too passed by without taking her she had to wait again for next. And someone can't say how much time. She finally stood in the middle of the road to stop it. There were only two possibilities either the driver stop it seeing a girl in front, and if not crush her underneath enough to die. She holds her heart and stood there with all might as this was the only way left.
The car was in full speed, roaring like a tiger about to attack its prey. As it came near and near terror held her. She trembled with fear but didn't move. She listened to the sound of horn but didn't flinch. As the car was close enough to strike, she closed her eyes; her arm was in front of her face and screamed loudly.
