Subsequent Impact

SHIELD, Nick Fury.

Looking at the number on the phone, Kai was really annoyed.

Do something yourself and SHIELD will come to your door, do something for SHIELD and they still find you. Fuck….Are you not busy old man!?

When connecting the phone Kai said with a bad tone "It's best to say something worthwhile ,otherwise I'll hang up?"

"Chill bruh, I just want to thank you for saving Spiderman…" Nick was stunned by Kai's tone and then said.

"Thank me? Who said I was trying to save him? I was just cleaning up after his mess. Kai said with a sigh "I'm busy right now, if there's nothing else I'll hang up"

"There is…."

Nick hurriedly shouted but unfortunately the Kai hung up.

"This guy!"

Nick yelled angrily, no one dared to hang up on him. He contact Kai on one hand to thank him for saving Peter but on the other hand to remind him not to be so high-profile. It was fine to kill Doctor Octopus on the street and some people agree but more people were afraid, after all it was too bloody and gore.

Not to mention the reason for the US Law, The people are more accustomed to criminals being arrested and imprisoned. There were a few direct straightforward killing such as right now.

But now, it seems Kai won't be persuaded and the people will somewhat complain or some shit!

The workers on the island have been sent away by Blink. Of course, the wages during this time were given. Therefore, the workers were grateful and when they were sent away the island was cleaned up.

Kai called everyone in the meeting room in the spaceship.

Blink, Marrow, Chan Ho, Pepper, and of course the Dark elf.

The team is still small!

Kai sighed then said "The Damage Control company will soon take over the project. It is said they can finish it in a month so for the time being I'll be going to SHIELD. Blink and Pepper, I have to bother you both to watch over the progression of the project. Chan Ho and Marrow, you two stay on the spaceship and take advantage of this time to improve your strength. It won't take long before you will have the opportunity to battle!"

"Yes!"

There was no comments on the arrangement but Pepper slightly opened her mouth and seemed to want to say something but in the end she didn't speak.

Kai certainly notice this but pretended not to.

Pepper said she'll stay to help out and after the base is complete, Pepper will probably leave. Kai also hinted that he was used to her presence in the base but she did not respond. Therefore, Kai forcefully arranged a mission for her. Anyway, the base is not finish yet so she can't leave.

After the base is built he'll think of some other way to keep Pepper.

"Master, I have detected something approaching!" The dark elf suddenly said softly.

"Oh? Let me see" Kai asked and the dark elf quickly change the screen in front.

A speedboat was quickly entering the vicinity with people on it, looking at them Kai was upraised.

He curled his mouth and knew why they came.

"You can call my Boss like the others" Kai said.

The dark elf nodded repeatedly in joy.

Speaking of it, The dark elf is quite well behave, he doesn't talk much and doesn't have any malicious thoughts so Kai didn't mind raising his status a little.

"Blink, go out and bring them over!"

"Yes Boss!"

Blink complied and opened a portal before entering. After a while, the portal opened again and Blink entered with another person.

Professor Lizard!

This person who came was Professor Lizard!

Looking at the people in the meeting room Professor Lizard seemed a little nervous. Especially Kai who gave him of feeling of not looking up.

"Speak, why did you suddenly some here?"

Kai sat in a chair with his feet's on the table and his hands crossed. Professor Lizard hesitate for a while and faintly said "Y-you said I could follow you? I thought you might need someone to run errands, so I came over?"

"Oh? I did say something like that before huh? If you really say so why did you come so late?" Kai asked with a smile.

Professor Lizard was silent and couldn't answer.

"Not talking? You must be afraid" Marrow couldn't help was say.

She didn't have a good impression on Professor Lizard. After all, this Lizard chased her wanting to experiment on her.

Kai didn't speak and silently watched Professor Lizard. Even if Professor Lizard loop up he could feel Kai's gaze on him which made him feel pressured and even his breathing feel a little difficult. After hesitating for a long time Professor Lizard clenched his fist and said "Yes…I am afraid, I have been hiding ever since I went back and I-I wasn't willing to follow you, especially when I found out you didn't come to me. It made me think that you were just scaring and threatening me. W-When I saw on the news that you killed Doctor Octopus. I have been in contact with him for a few times and I was afraid I'd turn out like him so I came!"

After explaining Professor Lizard seemed to be exhausted as if he lost all his strength and waited for Kai to speak.

After a long while Kai slowly said "Since you have come, you can join the research team and study the gene potion"

"Hmm!" Professor repeadily nodded.

"I don't have to warn you about your manners since you should know how to behave" Kai got up and clapped his hands "Things will be arranged this way, Let Blink contact me if anything's happens"

Kai is not worried about Professor Lizard causing trouble. Blink, Marrow, and Chan Ho has gotten stronger during this time and it's enough to deal with him.

He was going to go back to Quake and also find Fitz about the battle Suit he's going to adjust.
