Equipment and Upgrades

Silver looked at her current equipment tab. It showed a silhouette of her body, and had labels displaying where her current clothes already were.

"Body: Hooded Gray Robe, Basic starting equipment for a half caster class. This robe is very weak and easily tears."

"Boots: Tattered Boots that resemble more shoes than actual boots. You'll get better results by wearing cloth wrapped around your feet."

She looked over at the gear she could currently equip.

"Demonic Wolf Leather Armor: Armor made from a demonic wolf pelt. This armor is flexible and light, however it offers little defense. AGI: +2."

"Demonic Leather Boots: Comfortable leather boots made from a Demonic monster's hide. Extremely comfortable, they are quite flexible. AGI +1."

She wore the armor and changed her boots. Putting the Tattered gray robe over her leather armor, she looked like a proper adventurer. The armor didn't have pauldrons, and most of the leather was on her arms and torso. Silver looked at herself. The grey robe contrasted the black leather, forming a nice color palette. Regretfully, the boots were brown, and didn't match her outfit. Her stats looked like this:

Silver was curious to know what Vitality was for, considering ther her HP went up naturally. Tapping on the word, it read: "Vitality: Determine's how well you heal via unnatural means (IE: Healing spells and abilities). Can slightly affect one's HP count. She placed two stat points into Defense and one into Vitality.

.....

Silver decided to rest up and recover. Unlike other games, if you level up in MRA, you don't immediately recover HP/Mana. She sat down for a moment, reflecting on her battle. 'A wolf's hearing is too keen to be blocked entirely by shadow. Muffling it doesn't provide any benefits alone. Blinding them works in my favor. I can't block out their hearing 100%, but if I condense enough shadow, I should be able to diminish their capability by around 60%. I'll need to test this. First, I'll see how they react to being blinded and deafened, then I'll come up with a strategy to take them down safely.' Silver smiled and thought to herself 'I'm starting to enjoy this game, we'll see where this path leads in the future, for now, I have some wolves to kill.'

.....

It took 10 minutes for Silver's HP and Mana to regenerate, she traveled down a different path, looking for a lone wolf. Oddly enough, this path seemed eerily similar to the previous one. She moved quietly, fully covered in shadows to hide herself better. She saw a lone wolf ahead, sniffing around. "Wolf Scout HP: 300/300". She closed her fist, as a thick black mist surrounded the creature's eyes and ears. It immediately jumped back and began sniffing the air. 'Tch, I forgot about smell, of course they could still smell me, but it doesn't right now, perhaps my shadows mask scent? hmm.' She caused the shadow's to block the creatures nose as well. Immediately, it froze, seemingly confused. In reality though, it was straining to hear anything. Silver thought to herself before coming up with a battle plan. She slowly crept up behind it and drew her scythe. Bringing the scythe down, it's point stabbed into the creature's back. It howled as Silver struggled and eventually managed to pull it out. It didn't take but a moment before the wolf spun around, sensing nothing. Barely able to pick up the light breathing from it's right flank, the wolf pivoted, performing a slash with their claws.

In an impressive display of athleticism, Silver bent her body backwards and the strike flew directly over her body. Slashing outwards, she cut deeply into the wolf's exposed shoulder. It yelped, and without a trace of hesitation, she slashed across the wolf's eyes and blood gushed out from it's wounds. The wolf reeled back while whining, but Silver showed it no mercy. Pivoting on her right foot, she spun counterclockwise slashed outwards. The beast dropped dead. Silver furrowed her brows.

'I didn't have any fun. There's no point in playing if I'm not having any fun. It was the approach. I won't try and be someone I'm not. I like frontal confrontations, sneaking around isn't really my thing.' She smiled and nodded her head. 'That suits me much better. No more sneaking around.'
