' System, add the level progress bar to the users in system control.'

[ Initiating system configuration…]

[ Progress 1% ]

[ Level progress bar added.]

' Apply that to my system as well.'

August looked at the level bar that showed his level of growth. It was not like a bar that showed the increase in between levels, rather it showed the exact level and the speed of level growth. For example, if someone was level 50, the bar will show 50 with the corresponding rank. Unless the user leveled up to level 51, the bar will stay there. So there was no indication as to how much time and effort needed to increase your level.

Unlike game interfaces where you can measure the experience and know your progress, here you have to assume the level of work you have to put in. The level of growth is measured by their past record and multiple variables that affect them. While they can measure the growth this way, it is by no means applicable to everyone. As everyone has different talents and affinities, the growth will vary significantly.

This was simpler in the case of Fatty, Daisy, and the others because they were under the system control. So August could measure the growth in real time and gather data. This allowed him to accurately figure out the growth ratio.

' Now it will be easier to track their growth.'

August turned back and walked towards fatty and Lilith. They noticed his approach and stopped their discussion. Fatty looked better now that he was in a better mood.

" There are around two hundred S rank beasts left on the lake. I know it's a lot of work to finish all of them off, so I won't ask you to do it right now. You worked really hard for the past couple of days, so I want you to take a break." August said to Fatty.

" So we won't be hunting for a while." Fatty said with a reassuring sigh.

" Yeah, I think you overdid it. So we will take one week's break, then I will send you back here and the other red zones later." August replied.

Looking at the progress that they've made, it was necessary for them to take a break, as it would affect their performance if they overwork themselves. Also, now that he had Lilith, he could leave them with her, so he didn't need to look after them all the time.

Besides, he has the system control, so if anything happens that is out of their league, he can step in. What he was more concerned about was the corruption by the foreign entities. He needed a way to figure out how to weed them out.

This needed a thorough search all over the planet, to identify the beasts and possibly humans that were corrupted or controlled by the foreign entities. August also had the suspicion that there were more continental rulers scattered throughout the planet. He was curious as to why no response came in after he killed the continental ruler from the shadow devourers.

He guessed that they are probably looking into the incident, and because there are multiple factions among them, they are being cautious not to blatantly expose themselves. This also made it harder for him to track them down. For now, he had to wait for the awakened tournament.

After the ruler from the Kralar ruins informed him about the various factions, even if that was subtle, he figured that they needed to control more systems in order to compete with other rulers. This gave him insight into their motives. Apparently, they needed a good place and time to mass control living beings. It was inefficient for them to go out and turn every single beast and human one by one.

So they were waiting for a gathering that would provide them with the means to access the systems of the top users in the world. This was a perfect opportunity for them. They didn't even have to go look for powerful users in every country, every powerful person would come to the tournament on their own.

Coincidentally, this was also the opportunity August was looking for, to gather all the weed in one place. He didn't know how many of them were left, but he had to clear them out. Now that he was aware of the existence of the planetary rulers, who would be coming through the cracks in six months, he needed to clear all the other variables from the scene.

Chances are the new rulers coming through the cracks would bring more continental rulers and monsters with them, which August thought to be certain. The space crack was not stable enough for them to enter at the moment, but they were steadily spreading the cracks throughout the universe.

He didn't even know how many cracks were there on this planet let alone in the entire universe.

This was a big headache for him, to look for all those space cracks. That's why he was looking forward to the tournament, where he could round up all the bad apples. This included the continental rulers as well as the corrupted users.

Now that Lilith was under him, he was pretty sure no one could come close to her level. She was almost at the pinnacle of awakened, be it users or beats. At her level, she might be the most powerful awakened even among SSS rank users. Even if someone above her level existed, the chances are they were beasts rather than humans.

Because the thing August noticed was that the beasts were usually more powerful at the same level. It didn't mean they were smart though, that was why the humans could resist them for the time being. Beasts like Lilith, who was intelligent, could use their power in many different ways, which also meant they could outsmart the humans.

But such beats were very rare. On top of that, they didn't like to go out of their territory that much. Most of them were of humongous size towering over the surroundings. The Awakened council hid the information of these apex beasts, and only showed how they were able to hunt S rank beasts and lower with a relatively lower casualty. This was a good way to avoid panic among the masses.

In the case of Lilith, her skills were very useful and a certain skill was very unique. 'Devour', a skill that could absorb other living beings and all their memories, appearance, knowledge, and life force. It was not able to absorb skills like acquire, but it increased the level of aura that resulted in her gaining levels; her skills also received a significant power-up too. This allowed her to evolve much faster and gain so much intelligence and wisdom.

He didn't know how rare the skill was, but looking at the awakened statistics, this type of skill was so rare that only a handful of awakened had them. There were users who could replicate the appearance of others and physique, some could read minds. But the complete absorption was unheard of. This was also due to the rank of the skill that she was able to absorb the users and other living beings with all their complete memories. For an SSS rank skill, this was really powerful, as it allowed her to study the usage of aura and other skills.

She analyzed their fighting patterns over time and memorized their ways of dealing with beasts. Their memories also let her gain insights into the different usage of aura. After absorbing countless users, she grew to be an invincible monster that reigned over the entire lake. Even though she could have gone outside and expanded her influence, she chose to stay at the bottom of the lake.

With her level of power, She could restrain continental rulers to a certain degree. The only problem was the quantum force and the authority, which the normal awakened users lacked. This gave the rulers a huge advantage over the normal life forms. Even if their level was lower, they could defeat SSS rank users.
