Annabelle's POV:

Walking out of the hospital doors and towards Chris's car was taking forever due to the fact that the weak winter sun was overly bright and way too high for me to accurately see where I was going. Not to mention the glare of all the surrounding windshields blinding me further, had it not been for Chris's bright blue car sticking out like a sore thumb surrounded by black and white vehicles I doubt I'd be able to find it.

"What's got you smiling so brightly and not bothered to help a suffering friend find your car?" I asked an overly giddy and smiling Chris, "Well, I just got Doctor Hotties number and a confirmed answer to a date after we've spoken for a while." He replied and I smiled with genuine happiness for him. Having been single for about three years now I was proud of him for getting back out there. "I'm so happy for you babe! Damn I didn't even sense the gay vibes off of him..."

"Well neither did I, but I thought, hey if I get turned down then at least i tried right? " He asked me with a smirk, " That is very much true my friend, and well that Olivia Peirson ordered me to insert my number into her phone so I wonder when I'll be hearing from her. " I said with a sigh only to hear a loud screech beside me " She what?! Why am I only hearing this now, I could practically feel you checking her out. " I blushed at his comment "Damn was I that obvious? Bury me now thank you... "

Stopping outside my house he gave me the side eye "I'm giving you the rest of the week off, and I'll be here at ten on Saturday to take you to your therapy appointment." I groaned loudly at the mention of seeing a therapist, but I knew I needed it  "Yeah fine whatever." I said while rolling my eyes at him, "Good luck with landing that date babe, don't get into the kinky shit too early tho." I stated with a wink while walking into my house, catching a glimpse of Chris blushing before driving away.

Walking into the cold hallway leading to my bedroom, I gradually begin taking off my clothing. Contemplating whether to take a hot shower or sleep until my meds wear off. Deciding on the shower I make my way into my bathroom and turn the water on, not stepping in until the room is filled with a thick fog.

Allowing the hot water to scald my body and wash away the mishaps of the previous days I lather my body with soap and rinse off. After rinsing my hair for the final time I step out just in time to hear my phone beep.
