Caught

It is unexpected, during her half year stay in the castle made her feel like she's at home. She doesn't feel unsafe. It was like she's living in her dreams. Perfect meals, huge space and castle, luxurious furniture, expensive tailored branded clothes, and fairy tale-like life. But as days pass by and her 11th month of stay in the castle, she is getting anxious about her purpose. She thinks about her reason for coming to the castle in the first place.

To be his wife and love him. But it doesn't sound like that's just it. She doesn't know much about the consequences, the forbidden, and the must.

She was asking herself, has she fallen in love with him? There is some proof that she was attached to him. One of the proofs is when she was feeling mad just by thinking about the visiting of the said concubines. But come to think of it, she never heard a concubine visiting the King anymore or are they hiding it from her?

Luna took another spoonful of her bacon as she looked somewhere in the darkness.

"Marido"

They are both eating their breakfast now and yes, she is in his room. She got used to being with him, talking to him, and telling him whatever she thinks.

"How many concubines do you have?" She took another spoonful, still looking somewhere in the darkness.

"Twenty."

Jaw dropped, she unconsciously let go of her spoon to the plate.

"Twe-Twenty?"

That's crazy! She was thinking that they could be 4 or 5 but 20?!

"H-Have you... married one of them? Have you had a wife before me?"

She's nervous of what he will say. Demons live a long life, she knows it. And he could have a wife before her. He is a King, he can do what he wants.

"A demon or a human?"

She gulped from his question. So there is a possibility that he has married a demon and also a human! What the hell!

She was speechless. Just thinking about him being his 5th wife or 7th wife or 30th wife, she can't afford it! What the hell!

Well... she was not as noble as he is. And maybe she is even the poorest of all his wives. What is so great about being an adopted daughter? She didn't speak and just silently ate her meal.

Deep in the darkness, he was resting his right elbow on his table, leaning his chin on his hand and tilting his head while staring at this speechless woman that was clearly annoyed while eating. There's a grin on his lips and was staring at her greyish eyes.

My wife doesn't know how to pretend.

It was silence that filled the room. She didn't talk and just thanked him for eating her cooked bacon and mixed wine for him, which she usually does. After leaving his room, she wandered in the garden, checking every flower from the right side of the castle to the left until she gave up and sat on the grass. There's no use of wandering in the garden, she is not calming down.

"Milady. You will hurt your legs on the grass. Please let me put on a thick manta." It was Gael who was offering her his hand to guide her.

"I'm okay, Gael." She sighed, bent her knees, wrapped her arms on it, and rested her chin on it.

"Milady." Gael's voice was calm as he begged her to get up from the grass but he stopped as he saw her eyes... looking sad. In this kind of situation, he knows what will happen next.

"How was I different from his previous wives, Gael?"

Stunned, he remained calm as he looked up to the closed windows of his King's room through the garden. He knows he was there watching them and he knows his King is testing him.

He was thinking of another reason why his King would make his milady upset again. There must be another reason why he did this other than testing him as her valet. But it is making him upset that she is using her against him but also cannot afford to get upset since he knows that there might be another reason.

He looked back at his milady who was now running her left hand in the grass that made him panic.

"M-Milady, please don't touch-

"I'm fine, Gael. It's fine." She muttered with her angelic voice.

Not a second, he bent down his knees sitting his buttocks down and squatted on the grass too. In his whole life, he has never felt this responsible in his obligation as the family to protect the soul of his King's wife. And his King has never hated him like now either. His King was being unfair to him now that he has gotten closer to his milady than him.

"Why did you sit on the grass? You should stand."

He knew this was coming. He sighed and playfully grinned to start a long talk with her.

"It's my first time to sit on the grass milady. You should reward me as your big-butted best friend." His smile was like an expert pervert that is ready to devour a pussy.

He was already looking forward to fuck her best friend long time ago. If he could have free time, he would surely look for that woman and don't make her walk the next morning.

"I am not in the position to sell my best friend's body to you, Gael." She answered, shaking her head while watching his perverted smile facing the flowers piled in front of them.

"She's my precious friend. As your milady, I forbid you to touch her." She demanded with authority, making him groan in disappointment.

There they spend a talk about him planning to fuck her best friend and talk about random stuffs relating to sex. Talking to Gael, she feels like she has gone back to Seville and she's talking with Stella again.

When the night came, she slowly opened her door trying not to make a noise. But as soon as she closed it, she felt like someone was watching her from the back.

"Yow, milady. I caught you this time. Ha. Ha. Ha."

She stiffened after hearing Gael's fake laugh sending goose bumps all over her body. This is Gael's way of talking when he is a little bit upset. Did he...

She slowly turned her head to her back making her eyes go wider and touched her heart that almost lost a beat.

"What the hell, Gael?" She stuttered as she watched Gael walk towards her, holding his head with his hands.

He was cut through the neck! What the hell!

She waited for his head to grow back and his previous head turning into ashes. Gael moved his head side to side to stretch it. Groaning after touching his new messy hair, he shook his head before smiling to his milady as usual.

"I lost my head, milady. Thanks to your hot best friend." He explained with sarcasm on his tone and referring about the erotic things they have talked about this morning.

"My King was so mad because he treats you like an innocent lady." Now he is complaining. "He is irrational! He doesn't know your best friend is worse than me and you have been conversing erotic stuffs with your best friend!"

It was a half shout and half whisper complaint and she couldn't believe these two, the King and Gael.

She let out a heavy sigh before standing straight.

"He is disciplining you, Gael. So," She paused.

"Behave." She commanded before continuing her journey to the left wing of the castle.

"I am going to my husband's room." She permitted and lit a torch to guide herself in his room.
