Chapter 5

After he disappeared into the crowd I headed back toward Bo. Rubbing my fingers over my palm and trying to get rid of the sense that I know those eyes from somewhere. I saw Bo and pushed the incident to the back of my mind.

"Hey, would you like to go.on the ferris wheel?" He asked handing me my hippo.

"Yeah, that sounds great" I replied.

We walked over to the large ferris wheel and waited in line. When it was out turn Bo let me get in first and he sat next to me. As we went up he slyly put his arm around my shoulders and I cuddled up to him.

"This is by far the best date I've ever been on" I looked at him and smiled.

"No way. A beautiful girl like you has had to have been on better dates" he tried to argue.

"Actually, no. I haven't" my head rested on his shoulder and I looked at him. Our eyes locked for a few minutes then he leaned in and gently pressed his lips on mine. He cupped my cheek with his hand and when we parted we just stared into each others' eyes.

"Wow" was all he could say. We cuddled together the rest of the ride and watched our surroundings. It was nice enjoying each others company.

When the ride ended we decided to get some ice cream and head out.

"Do you still want to drive?" He asked holding out the keys.

"If you wouldn't mind?" I smiled.

"Of course not" he kissed me on the forehead and handed me the keys. He opened the door for me and helped me up into the truck. He put my hippo behind me and then got in. I turned on his GPS and put in my address, which was already saved as "Marina's house". It was awesome driving that truck, like I was on top of the world.

When I pulled up next to the house I turned off the truck and Bo jumped out to open the door for me. He walked me to the door.

"I had an amazing day today, thank you" I smiled.

"You're welcome. I had a great time too"

"And thank you for the hippo" I held the stuffed animal up a little.

"You're welcome for that too" he smiled.

"We should go out again soon" I said.

We just looked into each others' eyes for a few moments then he leaned in and I shifted the hippo so it wouldn't get in the way. His lips gently pressed against mine and we moved closer to each other. As we slowly parted all I could do was smile.

"See you at work tomorrow?" I asked him.

"Yup, I work 7 pm to 3 am" he said.

"Oh! Me too. Then I will definitely see you at work tomorrow. Thank you again for everything, especially driving your truck"

"You're welcome. And you can drive it anytime" he smiled at me.

"Good night Bo. Text me when you get home. So I know you got home safe" I said to him.

"Will do madam" he tipped his hat then began to walk away.

"Wait..." I put the hippo inside and ran over to him and kissed him. He was shocked and after that wore off he slid his arms around my waist and held me close. We stood there for a few moments. Then Rose burst through the door.

"Marina!! Oh.... my bad... I was never here. Carry on" she said as she backed into the house.

"Guess that means we should go"

"Yeah, probably should" he kissed me on the cheek. Good night Marina"

"Goodnight Bo"

I watched him take off. Then I went inside and locked the door. I learned on the door with the biggest smile on my face. I heard the girls giggling hysterically.
