After a few hours at the bar I let Kiki take over sand I did rounds to make sure there weren't any fights. I got tapped on the shoulder and to my surprise it was the fight girls from outside.
"That wasn't cool how you handled us outside" one said all snooty.
"Yeah, it was rude and embarrassing" the other added.
"Well you embarrassed yourself by starting a fight outside and what I say goes, if you don't like it, there's the door" I said pointing to the entrance.
By their body language they were gearing up for a fight with me. Seconds later one of them throws a punch but was so drunk all I had to do was step back. The other girl came at me as well, it I was able to grab her arm and push her towards her friend. They then toppled into the ground.
"You two are cut off and it's time for you to leave. Now." I leaned over giving them a stern look.
They stood up clumsily.
"No, we don't wanna" girl one said.
"If you don't leave by yourself than I will force you out"
"You wouldn't dare" girl two chimes in. I smile.
"Lilly! The trash needs taken out. Wanna help me?" I yell to my side.
"Yeah! Of course!" She smiles. It was all too easy getting these two drunk girls out. They tried to fight back, kicking and screaming but the alcohol and us were too much for them. We got them to the bus bench a little ways down.
"Stay out! You two are banned for a week!" I snapped a picture of them on my phone and they looked appalled that I did.
"How dare..." before finishing her sentence girl one throws up all over the curb.
We head back inside and I get back to my rounds. Cutting off those who reached their limit, picking up glasses, clearing tables and talking to regulars.
As I was walking through the crowd of dancing bodies someone grabbed my arm.
"Wanna dance pretty lady?" A very drunk guy asked.
"I'm sorry, I'd love to but I'm working. It's against policy while on the clock" I said trying to let him down easy.
"Aww break the rules just this once" he persisted.
"I'm sorry I can't" I said as his grip tightened and he wrenched next close to him. I winced in pain but quickly masked it.
"Sir, let go of me or I will have you escorted out." I said sternly.
"And if I won't leave?" His breath reeked of alcohol.
"Our security guards are bigger than you" I said. That ticked him off and he shoved me backwards into a crowd of people. Which made some people fall and get mad, but none of which measures up to the anger in his face.
"Watch your back little lady" he glared.
"Security!!" I yelled and one of the largest guys we have, Tony, came over to me and I told him what happened and to keep an eye out for the guy. We got the crowd settled and the night went on.
We made last call at 2 am and people started clearing out. I got behind the bar to help clean up and when I looked up I saw one of our regulars.
"Hey Big Bob, it's time to head out" I said cleaning around him.
"Hi Marina! How are you? You look beautiful tonight" he said slurring his words.
"I'm good, thank you. You look handsome yourself. Drink that quickly, it's closing time" I said smiling at him.
"Oh ok. That time already. Will you walk me out?" He said as he downed his drink and stumbled to his feet.
"Call him a cab please" I asked Bo since he was closest to me. "Yes I will walk you out Bob" I walked over to him and put my arm through his as we walked out. He was always a happy drunk and was nice to everyone. I walked him to the bench right outside so he could wait for his cab.
"Why are you always so nice to me Marina?" He asked with a sad look.
"Because you're a nice guy and you are nice to me. I was raised to be respectful and be nice to everyone" I said smiling at him. He looked as if we was about to cry.
"Thank you for always being so nice. You are a really great person. Don't ever change. I have a lot of bad in my life but coming here is so nice."
"And you are always welcome here" I said with a smile and put my hand on his shoulder. The. His cab pulled up, I helped him into the back seat, told the driver the address and gave him some money.
"Good night Bob" I said.
"Good night Marina" he smiled at me.
