It was a day like any other I got up washed my face,
did the usual routine then went off to work.
Hey , don't get your hopes up too much I am not the greatest human being
I am a male-only a few clicks short of an e-mail lol
But seriously I am just a regular guy who works at a regular job
and just does what he can to avoid people, which is hard
given my job description.
"what's the commotion about?"
"Oh, yea they are introducing the new girl to everyone"
"Ah, a new annoyance, one more person to baby
for the next few months" I'd say I hate my job but I don't,
I like computers more than people because they don't talk much
so it's easy to not be annoyed.
I like quiet, noise is just too much for my brain to handle,
I thought to myself before taking a good look to see
who the next victim of these wolves would be.
I give them five minutes after the general introduction
before they hound her
I could hear them licking their lips and see the looks in their eyes
as they plot their advance, hope she can manage because
they broke the last one like her.
I can see some from a distance who
will employee more refined methods,
like the lunch roomers, the coffee breakers,
and the "can I walk you to your stop or give you a ride"
*sighs*you guys, how boring.
*I peered over my cubicle*
She was beautiful and had a great smile most guys would
go diabetic from overexposure to her glowed when she smiled.
Her dress could not hide her figure, her thick thighs and hips
complemented by her apple shape bottom.
*Idle* I thought
Hmmm she isn't bad looking at all, anyway
She bloomed like a flower in spring, so it's no surprise
girls and guys alike
wanted her or at least to be in her company.
The crow dispersed as the introductions and welcomes
had come to an end.
*Sigh dam these eyes of mine, when you're not sparkling
your chasing fool's gold.
(laughs) There must be a diamond in the back of my head*.
Should I warn her?
You'd think being in my mid 20's I would be braver
But she was the type I liked most.
She smiled brightly or that's what most people saw.
To me, there was a pain in her cheeks and the
trembling in her jaws, she struggled to smile.
*She was terrified*
These eyes are not easily deceived, matched with it was a
heart brave enough to love in the dark and
big enough to shield pain.
This was my curse I thought to myself,
when my thoughts were interrupted.
" Hey what's your name?"
I looked at her eyebrow raised, looking at her sternly
" How may I assist? I replied.
She looked a bit thrown off
" ummah I wanted help with a document I am typing" she replied
" Sighs I looked around, okay give me a sec"
"Okay" she smiled as she replied
I got up from my station and walked over to where she sat.
So, what's seems to be the issue?
"I can't seem to figure out how to download this document.
She replied
Me: Okay, so I won't do it for you
But I can tell you how to do it since showing you won't help much.
Her: "okay that's fine"
This is high school all over again, where the pretty girl uses the nerd.
*Shakes head* not today, not a backside.
A few clicks and a short explanation later and we were done.
Her: thanks
Me: " K"
Several hours later. . . . . ...
The sun had signaled the end of the day.
I had waited till I was sure everyone else had left the building,
before getting up and leaving my station.
I packed up and was heading out when I heard
" Hey" a familiar voice echoed.
Surprised I glanced around and saw her
She smiled at me gently, her light brown cheeks lit up
and glowed as she did.
*sighs* it's hard to believe just by looking but she might be a stalker
Her: I thought I was the only one left here.
What was your name again?
I glanced at her coldly
Me: I didn't give you my name
Just call me the I.T. guy
Her: like seriously?
She said as she laughed
So that's what you really look like I thought to myself
Her: mind if I walk with you to the bus stop.
Me: Well, if we happen to be walking in the same direction,
I can't stop you and if you don't mind keeping your mouth shut,
then sure.
That is what I wanted to say but I simply shrugged my shoulders
and walked off
She followed closely behind
We walked in silence for 15 minutes until we arrived at the bus stop.
BEEP!!! BEEP!!! a taxi's horn tooted
She raised her hand and it stopped.
Her: later
I walked off and acknowledged her with a flimsy wave.
After a few minutes I arrived home, I poached the thoughts
about her that kept popping up in my mind. Then a final thought
popped up that was interesting.
Me:
Her parents must have predicted who she would be so
they gave her that name.
Anyway, time for bed.
*Lights* Click!
