Truce
It had been a whole week since she followed me to my stop,
well more like she was stalking me. So it was interesting,
to say the least when she showed up with Silica at
her usual stalking time but I wasn't unaware of the reason
why I just simply didn't mind it.
Raine: Hey you
She spoke casually
*someone's gotten a big head all of a sudden*
I thought to myself
Silica: Hey
She fell dead silent as I glanced at her about to pronounce
my name, she read my expression perfectly and
simply stopped at "hey"
I case you're thinking I'm holding a grudge, hmm maybe
Raine didn't miss my expression or Silica's
interpretation this dam girl is becoming more annoying.
I mean what's the use of having someone around that you can't fool.
I simply continued my end-of-the-day freedom walk
and they followed behind, my usual stalker and her trainee.
They were chatting lightly when I noticed that they
seemed quiet all of a sudden, well we were approaching
their stop so most likely that was the reason.
*sighs* nothing is ever that simple now is it.
I thought to myself as I watched Silica struggle
to find words to say to me after asking me if she could talk.
Me: "So talk"
I uttered coldly

I waited for a few minutes and as
Raine was about to step in I poke
Me: ok Scili ill makes this easy for you,
there is no need to apologize,
I don't care what you or any other creature
thinks of me you should know me better than that Or so I thought.
Silica looked like she was just told that a close family
member died, she was mortified.
I had intentionally cut off her escape because I did not want to
have this conversation outside of this moment.
Raine: You, why would you do that, can't you tell she is
sorry and she just wanted to apologize.
Me: "hey stalker lady your no exception to what I just mentioned,
I don't get paid overtime to babysit you or to act as your bodyguard".
You've been wanted to say something too for the longest while.
Look people are not my forte cuz you are either liars or just stupid.
Raine: did you just call me stupid?
*Wow that's all she got from all that? *
Raine: also, it's not like that at all and I think you are going to far
*too far was me letting you stalk me for a whole week and
not calling the police *
That is what I thought, but since I was too tired of the
exchange already I just simply walked off.
||Silica Pov||
I came straight home; I didn't even tell Raine goodbye I was too
ashamed and I couldn't hold the tears back any longer.
I cried so hard that my eye became foggy and I could
hardly see, but I knew he would have been mad just not like that.
He wasn't always like that it might be hard to think of but
I still remember when I first saw him smile.
Phone vibrates
VUMMMP !!!
VUMMMP !!!
Caller ID said Raine
*sighs* not right now I can't talk now maybe tomorrow
I think to myself
*Beep* Phone answers
Raine: "Would it be stupid to ask if you're, okay?
"maybe" I replied
I answered with my voice hoarse
Raine: I knew he hurt you but to make you cry like this,
want me to beat him up?
I laughed a little hearing Raine say those words
No, it's fine when he's like this nothing works, I replied
Raine: "good caz I need this job"
Hahaha I laughed
"what would you do if I had said yes?"
Raine: I'd still beat him up
She said while laughing
He wasn't always like this and he isn't a bad person but sometimes,
life makes us into monsters even among men.
Raine: I don't believe that I mean we all make choices, right?
"It's not the same for him" I replied
Raine: how come?
I'll tell you tomorrow over lunch I replied
Raine: sounds interesting, well get some rest, and ill see you at work
The thing I remember the most about him was his arms,
they were warm and gentle, it felt as if I couldn't be harmed while I was in them.
Raine: He must be quite the guy to have you lost like that:
Raine spoke interrupting Silica's train of thought and
the soft smile that had rested on her lips.
Raine continued
"I've never seen you smile like that before in the
short time that I've known you"
"It's nothing" replied Silica
"Nothing had you blushing" replied Raine
To change the topic silica gazed around the quiet restaurant.
An early morning hook-up had both girls sitting down
to a quiet breakfast.
Well at least the environment was quiet,
both had very different things in mind.
One was longing for something and the other
was curious about someone.
Neither was sure where or how to begin but true
to her nature Raine spoke first.
"so you two were a thing"
Silica stuttered "what? who?"
Raine: really?! like seriously?
I knew you were upset enough to forget that today
was the weekend but there is no way you could forget
yesterday with "the whole human race can go die" attitude
He must think he is superior to everyone
"Stop!" silica said sternly to Raine interrupting her rant
"you don't know enough about him to judge him like that"
||Raine Pov||
Oh kay then, so if these you are not together or
had a relationship then I'm crazy, more importantly,
why is she protecting him so much
Also, why is it that out of all 300 and something employees
only she had some kind of relationship or connection with him.
"what so great about this guy or maybe he has something
on her why she doesn't want to talk about him much even though
she clearly came here to tell me something
I mean I left my by for me that's equivalent to Adam giving eve a rib okay.
*sigh* well she's a great girl I better not push,
she is also my boss so there is no way I want to get on her bad side.
Plus not sure who I can trust and she seems to be the
easiest person to talk to, oh god can you believe I left where
I was to come here just to start over. Well then again, my old life wasn't a bed rose either.
There is no way I am going back I can't, no matter who I have to lie to.
"Are you hearing me Raine !!" silica shouted
Oh yea I am, I replied hastily
"I just got distracted for a sec"

Oh wait,
Silica looks behind you, I don't know what your taste is
like but what do you think of the guy in the sky-blue muscle shirt.
Silica: "I am not too fascinated by many guys but what do I have to lose"
"Wow he looks nice"
Wish he didn't have those glasses on or that cap
so we could at least see his eye.
" yea girl but look at those lips though I mean, look at him"
*girl control yourself*
*Ok so maybe this place isn't so bad, I might just
find myself some fun for the weekend*
I thought to myself
Silica replied, "why does he feel familiar though, you think
it might be someone from work?"
"Why are you trying to ruin this for me?"
"And noo ewww I hope not, I do not do office romance"
"Or romance at all, I just need to borrow him long enough
for these thoughts to become a reality"
*Right Eyebrow raised* looking a bit surprised
Silica replied "oh okay then, you sound like a predator"
"How else do you expect to get what you want in life other than to take it"
I replied with a fiendish grin on my face
"well looks like you are about to get your chance"
Silica said as she pointed at the handsome guy walking our way
I turned to look and he just looked better the closer he got to us,
his walk was slow and deliberate his dark brown skin made his sky-blue outfit stand out.
As he got closer, I got ready to make my move
When suddenly a car pulled up, the glass slowly rolled down
"Hey, ladies are you two here with company?"
It was Mac and Glen
Mac: "So can we join you two?"
After what you two did I don't think so
Replied Silica
Glen "come on you know we didn't mean any of that
and we already apologized to you.
Silica "I'm not the only one you need to apologize to"
Mac: "Raine can you please forgive us?
"on one condition" I replied
Glen "what's that"
"You two buy us lunch Monday"
I replied
Mac and Glen look at each other ecstatic and answered in unison
"sure "
They smiled at us wished us a good day then drove off
At that time I am not sure where he went but
my mystery guy vanished
*Sigh*
*Those bastards could not have any worse timing* I thought to myself
