Elder Mao Yong look at them before he released his nock in the arrow and it hit the Thunderwolf who shoot out the last ray of electricity.

It whimpers in pain by roaring loudly and it did not stop, it cannot stop right now. The only thing in both of their mind is to run away so there should be no reason for them to stop completely.

As the leader roar, the Thunderwolves did not stop attacking as they received an order to continue sieging the walls.

Seeing that Elder Mao Yong failed to deliver a killing strike to at least one of them, he shook his head as he knew that he failed. These beasts will come back with an even greater number and it will be troublesome if they were to still not receive any help.

Now that the Zhou family is involved, their chances of surviving are higher. The town can be saved as long as the people from the Zhou family are alive so the town can owe them a favor by helping them.

As Elder Mao Yong is in regret due to failing to kill at least one of them, Zhou Mengyao and his gang are just at the sidelines assisting the guards in the walls.

Zhou Mengyao looks at the two elders and at the last elder that is ordering the men since some of the beasts have managed to scale the wall but not without any sacrifice.

Most guards have already changed their weapons from their bows to spears and swords and even blunt weapons like a mace. Their weapons are not in great condition though as one can tell that their weapons have either been passed down from generation to generation.

"Group yourselves into 4 men! Each group will deal with one wolf that manages to climb the wall!"

Elder Ren Hong continuously orders the men as Zhou Mengyao has been listening to his instructions in order to not cite any confusion to the guards. Disobeying the order might make them appear hostile but after seeing that the threat is already gone, there is no reason to hesitate to disobey the order anymore.

Zhou Mengyao plans to level up his skills and show off in this expedition since his chances to upgrade the Absolute Pride of the Azure Dragon have been screwed by a certain someone.

"Hu Jia, Lin Xia, Teng Hu. Show them what you can do now that we have assessed that there is no need for us to conserve our strength."

The three smiled as Zhou Mengyao instructed them not to exhaust their strength as he is very cautious that an unexpected situation might arise so he plans to conserve their strength and see if there will be any dangers if the beasts can see that the leaders of the town have finally exhausted their strength.

Now that he can see that there is no threat and the leader has pretty much abandoned every one of its kind, there is no reason to conserve strength. It is time to clean the beasts up.

As he nocks three arrows in his bow, with a unique precision brought by his experience, the three arrows that he released from his bow all hit the same spot making the beast whose legs are injured appear much more tired and slower than its usual pace.

Seeing that its companion will die if he did not help it, the other leader finally came to a dilemma. If he did not do anything his companion will die, if he does something to help his companion then he can die.

As it is in a dilemma, the beast finally came to conclusion. One that did not even come from his own intelligence that can make decisions, it came from his instincts that are recorded by its ancestors in its bloodline.

That decision is to run away and leave its companion.

"Earlier it looks like you and your friend have been through so many challenges, it looks like I am wrong as you will just leave your companion here."

Hu Jia smiled as he already expected it, it is not rare for beasts to leave their companion when they are already about to die. In fact, it is a very common occurrence.

Most beasts are just thinking of how they will survive that they will even disregard their companion who has been through plenty of challenges with them.

Hu Jia met plenty of them in the wilds, this is why the most effective hunting strategy is to exhaust the strength of any kinds of beasts first and let them panic. The moment they panic is the moment they will be able to take down the beasts much more easier than it already is.

Seeing that the beast have made a choice, Hu Jia continuously released arrows at a fast rate.

Meanwhile, Teng Hu and Lin Xia did not know how to use bows and arrows as they are not trained for that but since they already knew that the threat which is the beasts at the level of Qi Transformation Realm is gone, they knew that dealing with the remaining beasts is very easy.

It is very easy for them since the beasts that are still attacking the town are just at Qi Refining Realm. It will be a shame if they cannot deal with them when they are a realm higher than them.

Teng Hu look down at the sieging beasts and with a smile curled upon his lips, he jumped down from the tall wall to which he landed in the ground without any sort of problem.

Teng Hu shouted very loudly which gathered the attention of the beasts, seeing that he provoke them completely. He knew that he succeeded in making the responsibility of the guards much more easier.

"Stupid guy, don't just rush in without saying anything of the sort."

Lin Xia followed as well as he too gets down below the wall. His landing is very smooth and after landing, he completely covered Teng Hu's back.

Both of them are covering their blind spots, they completely understood what they needed to do in this exact situation.

The two of them got into position as the Thunderwolves surrounds them in a circle. There are at least ten of them that rushed at them while the other Thunderwolves in the area still continued on climbing the wall thinking about the order without realizing that their leader is already gone.

The other Thunderwolves did not even try to attack the two of them since they thought that the ten that are rushing to them is already enough.

"Looks like we have to gather their attention through some other ways."

"Yeah, and here I am thinking that shouting loudly is enough to attract a huge amount of them."

The two of them quickly got into the action with the order of Zhou Mengyao in their mind.

That order is not to kill any of the Thunderwolves, just cripple them. Since the remaining beasts are no longer a threat there is no reason to be afraid, it is at times like these that one should just go wild to their liking.

With a fast swift move, an afterimage is formed after Lin Xia as he moves in a very fast manner confusing the meter-long Thunderwolves.

Lin Xia breathed deeply and he scream as within under five seconds, he has unleashed plenty of strikes that cut through the Thunderwolves rushing at him. Most of his strikes are very precise, all the places that it hits are just its legs that his sword managed to chopped as the performance of his new sword is very good.

The sword definitely deserves its looks as five Thunderwolves lost their legs in just five seconds, one second for each wolf. That's how fast Lin Xia is.
