A crowded village (1)

We stop for a break in a small village, just as promised. I take a walk and move my tingling legs, breathing in a few breaths of fresh air.

We're out of the conflict zone, so we should be safe. Not far from here, there are two big cities that merchants visit when crossing Alba from side to side. However, we will avoid crowded places.

That was the plan, initially.

We're just in time for lunch, so one of the guards goes to listen to what the local tavern has to offer. We have food with us, but eating something freshly baked and warm is better. Especially after days of eating camp food.

The attendants tried their best to make me eat the best dishes, but it was not easy when we didn't even have a fixed time for eating. Most of it used to be cold or heated up in a hurry.
