I was closer to the place that kept my father. It was right around the corner. It was coming into view.

But- fate wasn't on my side.

I had to halt my feet, the momentum almost making me topple. My eyes quivered. There, I found that creature- the one that we'd met on the tower, standing on the roof that kept dad. It's arms were in the air, as if it was preparing to smash everything below it, like it did before.

"No."

Emmanuel and my mother had caught up, each of us in line, staring at the disaster that was about to happen.

My mother repeated my words.

Thankfully, there was no one there. They had obviously escaped this wretched presence.

I ran towards the building without thinking, not caring a bit if that demon creature had seen me. As I got closer, I saw- glimpsed the littlest frame of my father and another figure; Derek. He was moving, but I couldn't see exactly what he was doing.
