Ch.67

Magic Imprisonment.

Magic Imprisoment is an advanced level technique that can further anyone's battle prowess. Magic Imprisonment is a spell that can be casted by anyone with the right training. It allows the user to be able to control anything within a radius of 10 meters. From there, a user can launch attacks from any direction or defend from any direction. To fully nullify the Magic Imprisoment, one must have a stronger Magic Imprisoment, or to have a strong enough spell to break it. Back to being able to launch and defend spells, the user takes in the surrounding magic to attack from a radius of 10 meters from any direction. The more intune with Magic Imprisonment, the stronger you become. The spell size, attack range, the attack power, it all levels up inside the Magic Imprisonment. For defense, a user of Magic Imprisoment senses increase with their magic detection increasing as well. Overall, it's one of the best techniques that anyone can learn. That being said, it's one of the hardest with success rate of 19 percent. That being said, if you fail to cast it the first time you try it, then you won't be able to utilize this power again. Advantage is an increase in power, while the disadvantage is failing once can lead to not doing it again in this or another life time.

....

Kaiyo, Zach, Todo, and Richard stood in place at the sight of a masked man. From their frame, you could tell they were a man. They had black hair that stuck out behind the mask and a tall figure. He wore samurai like clothing as well with a sheath touching the ground.

"Who are you?"

Kaiyo said with a frown. As they walked down the small trail, the samurai just walked out in front of the boys which confused them.

"I am no one. My magical attribute is wind, but my Magical prowess is low. I use my wind on myself and sword to increase my mobility and my swords durability."

He told them everything they needed to know. If you forgot the difference in definition of the two words then I'll explain once again. Magic attribute is the magic you are born with. Magical prowess is the amount of magic you have have withing you. Like a fuel tank.

"H-Hey, guys... Didn't Luke-sensei say that we'll only be fighting monsters? And didn't he say that it'll only be him and Black Vacum here today?"

Zach gulped as sweat started to form on his face. While he didn't show it, he actually was a pacifist in battle. That's why he used all his magic in the Mosnter vs Predator training exercise because he didn't want to engage people in battle.

"Y-Yeah, he did.."

Richard was just a scaredy cat. He didn't show it however. The difference between Zach and Richard is how Zach would fight if necessary while Richard would run away from anything.

"Come! Give me a good fight!"

The samurai got into a position while holding his sword hilt. Richard immediately ran away, surprising only Zach as Kaiyo and Todo were battle hungry.

'I've been itching for a fight..'

Kaiyo hit her hands together while making explosions.

'Give me something good mister!'

Todo licked his lips while starring intensely at the man. Seeing how the Duo was eager to fight instead of running away, making the samurai became washed in fear. He didn't expect them to fight him, but seeing how they were, he could only grunt and sigh.

Kaiyo's hands started ticking with small explosions as she rushed forwards. The man unsheathed his sword, placed his other hand on the handle and screamed.

Kaiyo got within 10 feet of the man and went up. Her peculiar movements surprised the man as she soon came back down on him with her hands out, orange and red started to glow from her hands.

'She's gonna strike!'

The mans sword became enchanted with wind as well as his body. Kaiyo smiled at seeing the Magic circulate around him causing her to put her right arm out slightly.

The man striked and the sword was going to go down on her forehead when she made an explosion in her right hand, moving her to the left and made another explosion in her left hand at an angle to come at his right side.

'Such quick movements..'

Seeing the eyes behind the mask tremble, Kaiyo smiled as she placed her hand on the side of his mask and in an instant, a giant explosion went off. It burned all the trees behind the man as his figure faded away.

Kaiyo killed a man.

From where she was with her group, Todo frowned at not getting any action while Zach became enchanted in her beautiful movements. Such grace and precision was never seen in his life.

"Weak.."

Kaiyo stared at the blood stain on the ground. In order to survive in such a society where Monsters could come out of no where, one had to have the mental capacity to kill. Whether its human or monster, one in the same essentially, you'll have to be prepared to kill.

"Weak disgusts me. You told your weakness and it got you killed. A true idiot.."

Kaiyo bawled her fist while starring at her hand. With her suit, shes able to open her palms up and use her powers. Her shoes could do that as well, but her explosions busted out before giving the sliding soul time to go back.

"I will become stronger than Immeasurable.."

She held her hand up to the sky while frowning and showing a disgusted face at the one person who could potentially stop such a dream appeared in her mind.

"Even if it means pushing you away completely.."

....

The cross hair on Ivory waited and waited. The man on the sniper rifle was in a huge coat that had a hood on and hid his face. 'I don't kill kids, none of us do, but this is necessary..' By none of us, he means the solo people who are attacking some of the students.

They were different from the criminals in the plaza. They had a code of no killing the innocents, no harm done in any way, shape or form to them.

'We'll kill Anti and Bv. When those two are done, we'll leave. These kids...will be our escape out of here..'

That was the plan. Little did the man know was that these kids...weren't going down without a fight.

....

Midori, Uri, Kora, and Jacob watched as the huge beast got closer. The thought of saving Ed was out the window as the number one hunter rule was 'Save yourself'. Midori didn't like the rule as once again, it meant weakness, but she couldn't bother with that now.

"J-Jacob?! How do we defeat that thing?!"

Uri yelled at him in a quite yet forceful tone. They thought he would have a lot of dungeon experience considering his father is a vice captain in one of Japans military regiments, meaning they thought he would have access to a dungeon at a young age.

"You should already know how too! The horns man... Go for the fucking horns!"

Jacob reached into his pocket and took out 4 blue pills. The other 3 stared blankly as they thought this wasn't the time for doping.

"These suppresses fear and boosts your frontal lobes ability to make you worry less. Take them, quickly!"

He forced the pill into their hands and took a pill himself. The students stared at it for a while, then opened their mouths to take it as the beast stood behind the barricade.

Its eyes were red, making it's overall look, threatening. Its swung its Axe down while holding it with both hands. The 4 students reacted to that by jumping away, only for the debris of the barricade to give them a huge boost.

They flew down the street while hitting their backs and stomachs, their movement rivaled a ball that was thrown.

'D-Damn it! That's hurt..!' Midori started shedding tears from pain. She wasn't able to use her magic in time as for some reason, she had a major weakness.

Under complete stress, her magic didn't work.

She thought of it as 'Not fair!', then realized why she had such a disadvantage. Her magic was very, very broken when developed to the final stage, 'Absoulte', which makes the users body...well, Absolute! That, with the weakness, makes the two contradict each other.

'I have to help!'

Uri undid the ropes and grabbed the end of them. While he was rolling back, he calculated everything in his head. The distance between him and his friends. The velocity and acceleration at which they were moving at too.

Uri, like a lot of people in this day and age, was smart but lazy. Over the course of 400 years, humans have evolved with Magic. Not only has Human body gotten stronger, but their brains developed as well. A hundred years ago, it was a myth that humans could use 10 percent of their brains. This was proven false however with someone with human philosophy magic, giving them the secrets of the human body. Humans could use 10 percent of their brains a hundred years ago, proven true, while in this day and age, its roughly 10.5. Small step up, but quite large.

'Got it!'

He threw the ropes at a pole and at his friends. The rope at the pole latched onto it, creating an anchor. The ropes that went towards the people latched onto their arms and yanked them from Uri's sudden stop.

They were all safe now.

"That was close.."

His rope was no longer than a bus and no thicker than a finger. The rope was about to break off if the wind didn't stop blowing.

"No time to be happy.."

The minotaur was running at the students. This made them all fear as they didn't know what to do. Well, one person had an idea that went against what someone told her.

'If I use it at 100%, then I'll be able to blow it away..'

Kora, Uri and Jacob started running away while Midori stayed. 'If I use it, I'll instantly pass out. What if I miss though and by being unconscious on the ground, they might try to save me, only for us all to die..' The others stopped and told her to come on.

'I'll just have to wait for it to get closer then..'

She held her right wrist with her left hand and turned her hand so her palm was facing the sky instead of the ground. Like gesturing 'Ok' with her fingers, she formed them into such a position.

Seeing such a resolute expression off the corner of her face, the students stared at her. 'S-She plans on using that power on the beast? That..should work actually..' Kora stared at the back of her suit.

Upon seeing her stand like that, it reminded her of an image of Immeasurable standing his ground against his first villain shown on tv. He was beaten up and by himself. Yet, the smile she and him carried matched.

'That girl is a full idiot to try and fight that thing..'

Jacob was seeing the bad side of all of this instead of the good. The minotaurs range of attack can vary, but this one seemed to be able to srike on a radius of 3-4 feet. He didn't know if she would be able to get an attack off before that, and didn't want to be around to see.

'I..have to stay. If she's staying then I'll have to protect her in Daemon's place..'

Uri and Daemon were friends through Midori. That being said, they weren't completely strangers. They HAVE spoken, laughed with each other and ate lunch together on numerous occasions.

'You want to be someone thing big, right Uri? Then show it... Show it!'

Uri decreased the weight on Midori by Negative 15. If she misses then should be able to quickly dodge its attack. What the 3 people didn't know was that if she landed a hit, hell, she doesn't even have to hit it, then they will blow back and the city street will break down from wind pressure alone.

Midori didn't know this as well. She knew the surrounding area would break but not as much as she doesn't know it would.

Kora, Uri, and Midori all had the resolve to defeat such a monster. For them, this Rank beast would he as strong as Immeasurable. This is false, but to them, its power is very great basically. Especially with their 'Basic' magic attributes.

Jacob shook his head at that and continued running away.

Uri anchored himself to a pole while Kora made guns. She shot at the beast which didn't have the slightest reaction to the bullets. That was until Kora infused them with magic which pierced the beast and made it groan slightly.

It still kept its speed up however with Midori's hand shaking. 'Thanks for staying guys..' Knowing that she had some form of back up, the relaxation drug kicked in, making her thoughts slow and more precise.

'I can do this!'

Midori made one final face, a whining sound sounding out on her index finger. Blue sparks would come out as she aimed it at the minotaur.

When the minotaur saw the finger surging however, it immediately stopped in its tracks, confusing the students and accidentally making Midori use her power.

She shot the hurl of power up and to the left of a building. The wind carried a part of the building away and broke thorught the dome. The ground was dented with metal pipes coming up from the pressure of the wind.

'Ah!'

Midori's face flashed as she started stammering. 'Wait! Stay awake!' She caught herself from falling and stared at the beast. It was trembling but the thing is... It was shaking before she even attacked.

'Did it feel..the power?..'

Uri and Kora stared in amazement at the power. They knew it was strong but it seemed to have gotten stronger than the last time they saw it.

"Guys.... Its scared of this power..."

Midori was holding her shaking hand while tears poured down from her face and onto the bulge in her suit.

"If I act like I use it, then we could lead it away.."

The other two were still in shock from her power. Midori didn't waste any time on waiting for them and started walking while stammering in the process.

'With this power..'

The minotaur started to back up while dropping its Axe into the ground. 'I see that I'll be someone to mess with in the future..' Power wise... For the first time in her life, she felt confident.
