That damn Oboro, I thought as I darted past the busy path before me, somehow managing to lose Oboro within the crowd behind me. I wasn’t in the mood to deal with her endless questions regarding the hickey on my neck, nor was I willing to be subjected to it just yet.
Seiren could deal with her if he was still in the office upon her arrival. Although, I doubted that he stayed around.
I slowed down and glanced back.
Things may have progressed between us into something more after we slept together, but it didn’t mean I automatically knew everything about him.
Half of the time, I had no idea what Seiren was up to whenever he wasn’t around to bother me or the rest of the members. We all knew that Seiren had an ulterior motive when he gathered the members of Howling Aquilo together.
Why else would you gather together a band of dangerous criminals or exiled clan members, who were probably better off locked up in a place they couldn’t harm others?
