I know I’ll never be disappointed by you!

Now what?

We left via the elevator.

The porter came and greeted me, the keys in his hand. "Your car is ready, Sir."

"Thank you," I said, smiling.

I squeezed her arm enough so that she did not run away and went toward the sliding doors. The valet had already opened the door on her side. I took her hand and only let go of her arm well after she got into the car.

I took the keys from the valet's hands and moved too slowly for my taste getting behind the wheel. The doors closed, and I sped off.

"Don't you think that if I could spare you some details I would?" I asked sarcastically.

She replied with a mocking smile: "I hope you like me enough for that!"

"If you say so."

I decided to play her game and forgot my anger. Why did I feel that she was weird? And not me? There was something different. Her breath was noisy and her heart panicked.

When she opened her mouth, she slowly and deliberately pronounced every word: "And I did not mean to shout it out loud and clear."
