I don't want to leave you forever

It was a few days after the girls had returned to California that the bliss started to fade away and Nyxie had to concentrate on the topic she had forgotten about while visiting her family. She needed to decide what she was going to do with the exchange year she had applied for, and how she was going to explain the whole situation to Gracie, without being too superficial.

Even the thought of that scared her.

The girls were cuddling on the couch in Nyxie’s living room, sharing a bag of chips, each potato finding its way into the sour cream that they used as a plain dip. Neither were too focused on the movie that was playing on their screen, Nyxie choosing rather to play with the hem of her girlfriend’s shirt while Gracie stared down at her where she was curled up against her chest.

But the scene that played, and the cries from the TV gained both of their attention, and their hands stopped other movements, staring intently at the screen.
