Chapter X

"Update me." Ally said as the brunette nodded.

"Hey." Kyla smiled as she looked at Liam who was silently watching one of the workers decorate a cake.

"Hi." Liam smiled, not looking at the brunette.

"You seem to love the cake." Kyla chuckled as she gently observed the green-eyed guy, as she found herself starting to think maybe Ally's theory was right.

"Do you think he'll let me get a free taste of that?" Liam asked as he looked at the cupcake.

"Maybe, we'll see." Kyla chuckled.

"Hey Troy!" the man decorating the cake shot a look at Kyla and smiled.

"Free taste?" He asked, while Kyla nodded.

"Sure." He smiled before taking out two tiny plates and placing out a bunch of newly decorated cupcakes.

"Here, pick between a bat, a wolf, a cauldron, a hunter, a spider, and even a minion." Troy chuckled shyly.

"Which one do you want?" Kyla smiled at Liam who was looking at her amused like a kid.

"I want the bat!" Liam said happily.

"Why?" Kyla chuckled.

"I dunno, I think it's cool." Liam grinned as Troy smiled before placing the cupcake on the plate.

"I'll take the minion." Kyla laughed as Troy shook his head before placing the minion on the other plate.

"Here you go." He smiled as Kyla stood up to get the cupcakes.

"By the way, Troy, that's Liam. And Liam, he's Troy." Kyla smiled.

"Thank you for this Troy!" Liam thanked as Kyla walked back to the booth.

"No problem." The man smiled before going back to work.

"Oh wow." Liam mumbled as he took a bite of the food, Kyla on the other hand breathed out a smile as she looked at the raven.

"Why aren't you eating?" Liam asked with a mouthful.

"I just think it's precious watching you eat happily, it makes me happy as well." Kyla smiled, she swore she saw Liam’s cheek tint red.

"Really now?”

"You got icing all over your lip." Kyla chuckled, while the raven tried to lick his lower lip.

"Hang on." Kyla smiled before reaching in to wipe the raven's lips using her thumb, as Liam turned into a smirking jerk. He smiled at Kyla, while the brunette's eyes flickered to Liam's lips.

"There." Kyla said after shaking her head, smiling at the raven.

"That was unnecessary." Liam said coolly, trying to hide the blood rushing to his cheeks.

"You couldn't get it." Kyla chuckled, nervously biting her lip.

“So, since when did you found out about this place?” Liam asked, examining his cupcake.

“Well. Ally, the owner of this shop is actually a senior back then. Dylan and I met her when we were scouting on which clubs to join. Dylan bumped into her, while she was out delivering cupcakes for the school principal.” Kyla said, while Liam listened attentively.

“Dylan nearly spilled all her cupcakes, but thankfully his reflexes are quick. He was also able to catch the food mid-air.”

“Well…He plays basketball, right? His reflexes are fine.” Liam chuckled.

“Anyways, in terms of making it up to Ally, she invited us to her pastry shop. Dylan suggested the Cheetos, and well that’s how these different items came.” Kyla chuckled, pointing at the stand with different stuffs.

“If I suggest something, do you think Ally will consider it?” Liam asked.

‘It depends, what’re you gonna suggest?” Kyla asked.

“Reese’s.” Liam grinned cheekily, making Kyla chuckle.

“You are something else Henderson.”

“I could say the same to you Mrs. Deins.” Liam winked.

“Shut up.”

“You’re so annoying.” Kyla rolled her eyes, with Liam grinning in a teasing manner.

“We better get going, I bet they’re hungry.” Liam informed.

The way back, Liam met up with a guy standing by entrance of the school. Kyla on the other hand noticed the tension. Liam's aura was different from his cheerful self a few blocks back. In fact, the older one went and ignored the man, but he was persistent.

“Liam.”

“Just leave Tyrone.” Liam growled lowly, holding Kyla closer to him.

“Not until we talk.”

“Go ahead Camz.” Liam ordered, his gaze fixed on the taller guy.

“Go.” Liam said sternly, stepping in front of the guy to block his view.

Without another word, Kyla walked away from the two. She found herself walking towards the familiar pathway, mind still full of questions. When she entered the room, she met Pierre and Dylan, who were currently fighting about which choreography was better.

"Here you go." Kyla cheerfully smiled as she handed the two their food.

"Where's Liam?" Pierre asked as he went outside.

"He's talking to this guy named Tyrone." Kyla shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh no." Pierre said as he rushed outside the theater room.

"Pierre wait!" Dylan exclaimed as he followed Pierre, along with Kyla.

"Liam." Pierre called out as he saw his best friend talking to the older man.

"Come on Liam, allow us." Liam's hand was formed in a fist, but he was calmly talking.

"It was your choice. I have no say in this." Liam said as Pierre went near the raven.

"Liam, let's go." Pierre said, but Liam stayed in place despite the attempt to drag him.

"Hang on. We're still talking." Tyrone smiled as he looked at Liam, reaching to touch his shoulder.

"Hands off!" Pierre exclaimed, shoving the man’s arm away. Tyrone scoffed before attempting to touch

Pierre.

"Fuck off." Liam growled as he held the man's arm tightly.

"Calm down, you don't want to display your real self in front of your new friends, don't you?" Tyrone whispered smirking as he glanced at Kyla and Dylan who were watching a few feet away from them.

"Leave." Liam said sternly as he tightened the grip on the man’s hand.

"I said Leave!" Liam yelled before harshly forcing Tyrone's hand away from them, spinning the man around. Tyrone scoffed before walking away, while Liam remained in his previous position.

"Liam let-"

"Leave me alone." The raven said coldly.

"Bu-"

"I won't repeat myself." Pierre sighed but nodded in understanding as he walked away from the green-eyed guy.

"What happened?" Dylan whispered as the blue-haired man approached them.

"Nothing, he's just trying to calm himself down." Pierre said in a whisper as he tried to pull the two inside the theater again.

"You guys go ahead, I'm going to the bathroom." Kyla said not taking her eyes off Liam.

"Ky, you can't talk to him at this state." Pierre said.

"I know, I wasn't planning to. I meant what I said." The brunette said as she walked the opposite direction from Liam.
