Not Diarrhea

There was loud heavy metal music playing in the car, which shook Ashley's heart numb, reducing a bit of uncomfortable feeling.

Jacob didn't wear a seat belt because he was sitting in the back seat. He didn't get too close either, just leaned forward slightly. The distance between the two was still separated by an empty seat.

Not far or near.

Ashley's breathing stopped, and she couldn't react, trying to follow his words to touch her face. But it was obvious that she could hear the teasing smile in his words.

In an instant, there was an unpleasant feeling of being played by an old man again.

She stopped and said with a sullen face, "You're so narcissistic."

Mike was still looking back. Hearing this, he subconsciously looked at Ashley and said with a disgusting expression, "Absolutely. And Jacob, what’s wrong with you? I didn’t see that Ashley blushed."

The music was a little loud, and Liam didn't pay much attention to their conversation. Through Mike's words, he probably guessed what Jacob said just now. He turned the volume down and glanced at the rearview mirror.

"Isn't he always like this?"

"Right." Mike turned his head back. "During the last physical examination, I was panting like a dog after running 1,000 meters. He came over and saw me and asked me what happened, saying that I blush when I see him."

Ashley, "..."

Jacob leaned back in his seat, sprawling as if he had no bones. Hearing Mike's words, he chuckled without interrupting.

Mike became more indignant, "I was out of breath at first, but when I heard what he said, I almost suffocated."

"Come on," Liam turned the steering wheel and joined the ranks of the offensive section, with a slightly mocking tone. "He even talked to dogs like that."

"Huh?" Mike was stunned for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed wildly, "Wow, imagine that Jacob said to the dog you blush when you see me. Hahahah"

"..."

Ashley imagined the scene.

Mike gave Jacob a thumbs up, "Awesome, man."

After speaking, he calmly said to Ashley, "Little sister, don't pay attention to him. This brother is not a good person. You can play with your cell phone for a while. We will be there soon."

Ashley glanced at Jacob and nodded blankly.

Jacob opened his mouth and said lazily, "Mike, why are you sowing discord?"

Mike let out a loud voice and asked, "Am I?"

Without waiting for anyone to respond, he looked at Ashley again, "Little sister, am I sowing discord?"

Ashley shook her head, "No."

Mike spread his hands innocently in front.

Ashley grabbed the seat belt and deliberately added, "This brother really doesn't look like a good person."

Hearing this, Jacob's eyelids moved, and looked at Ashley. As if thinking he had heard it wrong, he slowly repeated, "I don't look like a good person?"

Ashley ignored him.

"Okay." Jacob's lips curled up, and he said meaningfully, "I'm not a good person."

Pretending not to hear, Ashley looked out the window.

After a few seconds, she seemed to hear something, and a sentence came from him.

"Little bad egg."

Liam drove the car to a commercial area near his home.

This commercial area has just been built, and many stores have not yet been rented out. There were only a few stores opened, looking a little deserted.

Fearing that this lot was not convenient to park, Liam put the three of them down first and then drove the car into the underground parking lot alone.

After getting out of the car, Ashley felt more uncomfortable. And this feeling was different from diarrhea. She suddenly had a bad guess and walked silently.

When she was about her age, Grace told her about the period. Most of the classmates have already got the period, and occasionally Ashley could hear them talking about this topic.

She has seen too much and listened too much.

At this moment, Ashley could imagine that she must get her period.

Grace was very considerate. She specially prepared two sanitary napkins in each of Ashley's bags, in case she needed them from time to time.

But Ashley thought that she was just coming out for dinner, and didn't bring her bag at all. Her brain was blank, her walking speed was getting slower and slower, and she began to expect it was just that she thought too much.

Jacob and Mike walked forward.

Mike was excitedly telling him about the game he had just played with Liam.

Jacob listened casually. Soon, noticing that Ashley hadn't followed up, he stopped and asked, "Kiddo, why are you walking so slowly?"

Ashley's lips moved, and she didn't speak.

"Come ahead." Jacob waved to her, "If you get kidnapped in the back, brother won't even know."

Mike scratched his head awkwardly, "I forgot that Liam's sister is here..."

Ashley walked over slowly and whispered, "Brother, I want to go to the toilet."

Seeing her face, Jacob said, "Why is your face so pale? Are you ok?"

"I’m fine." Ashley's voice lowered, "I just want to go to the toilet."

Upon seeing this, Jacob roughly figured out, and lowered his voice, and asked, "Do you feel sick in your stomach?"

Ashley paused and nodded.

"Go to the mall first." Afraid that she might feel embarrassed, Jacob didn't ask much, "Brother will take you to the toilet."

They have made their decision in the car and planned to go to a newly opened barbecue bar for dinner, on the third floor of the mall. There were more people indoors than outside, and there were more stores open.

Jacob asked Mike to take the place first.

Immediately, he looked for signs around him and said, "Kiddo, do you bring tissues?"

Ashley was quiet for a few seconds, "No."

"Then you go to the toilet first and see if there are any tissues in it." Jacob thought for a while, then said, "If not, you can send a text message to me, and brother will buy it for you, and then let a sister bring it in. OK?"

The two followed the direction of the sign.

Ashley shook her head and said unnaturally, "I'll just go alone."

"Nope." Jacob raised his eyebrows and asked, "You come to this place for the first time, right? If you are lost, your brother comes to me, where can I find you?"

Ashley whispered, "Don't you have a mobile phone?"

Jacob said funny, "Why do you talk so much?"

Ashley shut up immediately.

Walking to a position ten meters away from the toilet, Jacob stopped, "Go ahead."

Ashley glanced at him and walked into the toilet in silence. Fortunately, there were not many people, and the toilet space was also large. She found an empty one, lifted her skirt, and took off her leggings and panty together.

Sure enough, as she imagined.

A large patch of bright red was dyed on the underwear, and the black leggings seemed to get wet. Ashley's expression was solemn, and she pulled up the back of the skirt and looked at it.

She was wearing a dark blue dress today. The color of a part of the skirt was darker, if you don't look closely, you won't notice it.

Ashley collapsed a little.

She wanted to go to the supermarket upstairs to buy a pack of sanitary napkins, but she didn't have any money. But she couldn't tell Jacob about this, so embarrassed that she didn't want to mention a word.

As if the world had collapsed, Ashley was in a daze for a while. After a long time, she made up her mind and pulled a large piece of tissue from the side to put it on her underwear.

Then she went out of the toilet.

Jacob was still looking at the phone from his original position.

Jacob noticed that she was coming out, and he put the phone back in his pocket, "Done?"

"Brother." Ashley hesitated, "You go up first, I want to wait for my brother to go up together."

Jacob, "Your brother has already gone up."

The last hope was dashed.

Ashley lowered her head, "...oh, let's go then."

Feeling that she was too abnormal today, Jacob was a little puzzled, "What's the matter with you today, kiddo?"

The temporary decision to go out tonight was probably the most regretful thing Ashley has done in her current life.

The period came unexpectedly, and she came out with three big men.

No one could understand her.

They just thought that she was abnormal.

She walked ahead silently.

Jacob couldn't figure out what children of this age were thinking. He didn't pay much attention to her, thinking that she was in a bad mood. When he was about to keep up with her, he glanced at her.

At this very moment, he noticed that a piece of her skirt was darker than normal.

"..."

Reminiscent of Ashley’s series of abnormal behaviors, Jacob scratched the skin under his face, and immediately stepped forward to grab Ashley’s arm, and pondered his words, and asked, “Isn’t it diarrhea?”

Ashley stopped, pursing her lips and looking at him, her eyes were red, and she quickly lowered her head without saying a word.

Jacob was also a little embarrassed. After a pause for several seconds, he said, "You go back to the toilet first, brother will buy it for you."

Ashley didn't move, her head was so low that he couldn't see the expression on her face.

"You go back to the toilet first." Jacob said soothingly, "It's okay, it’s not a big deal."

Hearing this, the little girl's shame came to her head, and the tears she had endured for a long time suddenly fell. Ashley stretched out her hand to wipe her tears and began to cry, her shoulder twitched as if she had been greatly wronged.

The awkward atmosphere was broken by her crying.

Jacob was still at a loss, watching her cry like this, and laughed inexplicably. Fearing to make her even more unhappy, he had to hold back his smile and said, "Why are you crying again?"

Ashley felt ashamed and didn't raise her head, but cried to herself.

"Okay, don't cry." Jacob whispered, "It's not a bad thing, go to the toilet and wait for brother."

She also didn't want to stay outside for too long like this, so she nodded, choked out a "Thank you, brother", and then walked back to the toilet, holding back the cry.

Seeing her go in, Jacob sighed. He then went in the direction of the second floor. After getting on the escalator, he thought about it and called Liam.

Liam quickly picked up, "Why haven't you come up yet?"

Jacob didn't even know what to say for a while.

Liam, "Hello? Can you hear me?"

Jacob gave a hum.

"The dishes are all served."

"..."

Liam, "Say something, dude."

Jacob, "Man, your sister——"

Liam, "What?"

Jacob, "She got her period."

"..."

There was a momentary silence on the other end, as quiet as if hanging up the phone.

Jacob walked into the supermarket and coughed slightly.

Liam just opened his mouth, "What should I do?"

"..." Jacob's tone was a little weird, "You ask me?"

Liam was silent for a few more seconds and then said, "There seems to be a supermarket on the second floor. Go and buy it, bro."

Jacob found it absurd, "Is she my sister?"

Liam said solemnly, "You are my brother."

The implication was that my sister was your sister.

Jacob felt a headache, "You come down to buy underwear. It’s not appropriate for me to buy."

The air seemed to stagnate for a long time.

Liam suddenly burst into swear words, "F*ck."

Jacob, "?"

Liam, "The signal is not good."

Jacob, "..."

Liam, "I gotta go."
