Check Out

After packing their belongings and making sure that everything is okay in their room, Auguste and Margaret checked out of the hotel. Rica and Kyle went out with them, and they were about to go to the mall when Auguste spoke to them.

“We will go there after we finish here,” Auguste told Rica. “We need to buy something for the Ocampos.”

“Just call me if you need anything, Sir,” Rica said to him.

And so, Rica and Kyle went ahead while Margaret and Auguste stayed in the hotel lobby to wait for the processing of their check out. They sat side by side on the sofa quietly as they wait.

“Are you okay?” Auguste suddenly asked her.

Margaret looked at him, but she did not answer.

“You’ve been quiet for a while already.”

Can she tell him the reason why she has been quiet? Well, she knows that she shouldn’t, so why is she even asking herself?

“I’m just thinking about what might happen later,” was what she managed to say.
