Margareth's Friends

“How about you?” Auguste suddenly asked.

“Hm?”

“Your friends. They don’t ask you to hang out with them?”

“They also don’t like me, like Iñigo to your group.”

Auguste frowned at her, making her giggle.

“Well, I also have friends. I have friends in my workplace, which I know you don’t have because... I don’t think the company CEO befriends those who are in the lower part of the organizational chart.”

“I can definitely do that! I am friends with the CFO and COO.”

“They are your brother and cousin.”

Auguste paused. “At least, they have lower ranks than mine.”

“I’m talking about the rank and files.”

Auguste seems to think on how to counter that statement. After a while, he said, “We don’t see each other that often, as compared to the CFO and COO.”

Margaret let out a loud sigh. “Why don’t you just give up?”

“Fine!” Auguste scowled.

Margaret giggled.
