Again! They were fighting again. The weather was pleasantly warm this early spring Saturday morning. Couldn't everything be back to normal? Back to those days when everything was peaceful? Apparently not. It doesn't seem that it is even going to happen anytime soon, Riley thought, upset as her husband, Marco, was yelling at her again for the nth time. All she wanted was for things to go back to the way it was when she first got married.
Ever since she got pregnant with his child, Marco always had a reason to fight with her over everything. When Marco was outraged, he looked so damn terrifying, that, Riley could admit to. Riley was always terrified and shook to her bones whenever he yelled at her, she was always shivering when they fought. Especially those eyes. Oh! those dark blue eyes always shooting daggers at her. Those raging eyes. Those deadly eyes. Those empty eyes. They always fought over one thing, which always led to unending disaster and barely broken hearts. After hours of yelling, Marco stormed out of the house through the large tall silver door, leaving Riley on the spot, astonished. Each time they fought, Marco did this, so much so that it had become a habit, and everytime, it just only surprised her. People really do change, she thought, quite perplexed over Marco's behaviours. All these weeks of fighting was making her dull and it was making her perfect white skin to loose its glow. She was sinking close to depression, she could feel it. This shouldn't be happening to me, she said to herself, upset, as a tear rolled down her cheeks.
Marco was a gentleman when they got married, but now, he is just a raging monster who thought he could just yell at her for no just cause, despite knowing her condition! Annoyed, Riley crossed over to the golden brocade furniture which was just opposite where she was standing, lost in her deep thoughts. At least Marco wasn't here to disturb the peace and quiet this beautiful morning, she said to herself. She took a seat, feeling more relaxed, as she put her hair up to a big bunch using a hair band to pack the strands of hair scattered all over her sweaty face. She rested her head on the couch, as the air produced from the fans and air conditioner soothed her nerves, as if she just had a cooling bath. She felt more at peace, forgetting a little about what had happened earlier, as she sunk into a deep flashback of her past.
She remembered how beautiful she was as a teenager entering into adulthood, she was an epitome of beauty. She still is, however, Marco makes her feel otherwise. I just wish i could put him through the same emotional torture he has done to me in the past few days! How could he be so cold towards me? I really shouldn't have any negative thoughts, she said, as she sunk back into her flashbacks.
She had dark rings of deep sea blue pupils surrounded by light blue green centers. Her hair was a shimmering blonde mass of curls always dangling softly against her neck, her nose was straight and narrow. She had always loved slim and fitted clothes borne to her size, which always emphasized her slim waist. She was literally perfect in every way she could think of. Oh, Marco. The first day she met him, she instantly knew that he was the one for her. He had long brown hair, beautiful blue eyes, and a muscular physique. Soon enough, they got married and started a family.
Oh, good times, she said, amused, and feeling better. It was as if the annoyance about Marco's behaviour had disappeared like the dust just by her remembering their romantic past. Though, if she was being totally honest with herself, Marco wasn't totally at fault, he was justified for yelling. She knew why he was angry, she knew he was right, and damn, was she proud to admit that it was true. Her pregnancy. Her pregnancy had raised a lot of questions in Marco's mind, and she understood why. The only thing she was angry at Marco for was that he didn't trust her., and she understood why also. Her pregnancy wasn't normal, it was off. In just the first 2 months of her pregnancy, she could feel the baby getting bigger than her womb may be able to carry, she was feeling very heavy. The baby grew very fast too, she could feel it, which was very astonishing. Plus, she had to eat like ten times more than a pregnant woman does. Probably the baby is sucking off all of my energy, she thought.
"I don't feel okay!' she told herself. But she wasn't ready to admit that something was wrong with her but she knew she had to do something. " What could be wrong with me?", she asked herself, but she couldn't pinpoint exactly what the problem was. " I must call the family doctor to fix an appointment to meet with him tomorrow. He would be able to help.", she said to herself.
Soon enough, sleep overtook as she fell asleep in the couch where she was resting. She must have been very exhausted after all the drama she had to face that early morning.
