Wealth

"But the other room in this house is not as big as my old room. It did not have a walk-in closet like mine and yours. Where should I put tons of my clothes, shoes, and accessories," Mary whined.

"We will think about something. I will do something about it," Renessa said as she rubbed the girl's back. She really didn't want her daughter to sleep in a room inferior to Renessa's room. In her head, she had planned to renovate two or three rooms to make a bigger room for her daughter

"She hates me, mom. She must think I've taken her father and her place in this house," Mary started sobbing and rested her head on Laura's shoulder.

Laura turned around and hugged her beloved daughter, "You never took away her father, her father is also your father. You also have the right to live in this house because this is also your father's house."

"Father, you will still love me after my sister returns, right?" Mary asked while looking at her father with heart-breaking eyes.

"You don't need to call that impudent girl a sister. She doesn't deserve to be your sister. You don't have to worry about her stealing my affection from you, you are my only daughter." Rudi said while stroking his daughter's hair gently.

"I love you, father." Mary broke away from her mother and hugged Rudi.

Rudi hugged his daughter affectionately. His daughter was too kind and innocent. Even though Mary and Renessa were born in the same year, their attitudes are very different. Mary was innocent and gentle while Renessa was rude and brash.

Renessa used to be very obedient and always listened to what he said. The little girl used to lower her head and not utter a single word when he started to raise his voice. The girl who appeared before him today was very different from the timid girl he used to know.

Rudi paused for a moment. He never really knew the true nature of his daughter. Maybe she had always been like this, but he knew nothing about it since the girl was always a nuisance in his eyes.

He was surprised at the drastic change. It seemed that keeping the girl in the dorm allowed her to grow up to be a complete dissident.

Rudi's eyes darkened as he remembered Renessa's words. The girl seemed to already know that all of her mother's inheritance belonged to her. Initially, he planned to let the girl stay abroad until she was 25. If the transfer could be done without her presence, it would be great and he would just cut the tie between them, but if the girl needed to be present, he would take her back and finish all the procedures.

Jefry. That man had always been a nuisance. He must be the person to tell the girl that she have full right of her mother inheritance. Rudi clicked his tongue in annoyance. The appearance of the girl was so sudden that he did not know how to react.

That bitch is too much. Rudi thought as he remembered Claudia's face. The woman didn't even leave Rudi a penny which made Rudi's hatred towards the woman and her daughter even more intense.

Claudia should be grateful and give Rudi all his wealth because he already wants to marry that damn girl. He had tried to be a good father to Renessa and a good father to Claudia until the woman died. But the harsh reality awaited Rudi after Claudia's death, he did not get a penny for all his efforts in their marriage.

When he thought he had managed to get all of Claudia's property, he had to be disappointed again when he heard one of the family lawyers read out the will that the woman had left.

Claudia bestowed all her wealth on Renessa and if something happened to Renessa that caused the girl's death before she was 25 years old, then all of Claudia's assets would be donated to the social care foundation written in her letter.

Rudi was really angry hearing that nonsense. His hatred for Renessa multiplied. He had actually planned to send Renessa to an orphanage after his elderly father-in-law died, but he couldn't do anything about it after hearing his late wife's will.

Rudi's hatred continued to grow seeing his daughter who looked more and more like that unlucky woman every day.

Claudia must have arranged everything so she could haunt him for the rest of her life even after she died through her daughter. Renessa's face, which is increasingly similar to her mother's, always makes Rudi's chest filled with anger every time he looks at the face of that child.

Rudi took a deep breath, he had to endure. Now that Renessa is 20 years old, he only needs to wait another five years before all the Pratma family's property falls into his hands. When that time came, he would immediately get rid of that insolent girl.

Her presence was like a thorn in his flesh that kept hurting him just by being there. He had prepared everything long ago. He would take all of Renessa's possessions and throw her out into the street when it was all over.

Renessa sat transfixed in her room with hatred on her face. Her body trembled violently after her argument with Rudi. She was hurt by the hatred thrown at her but at the same time, she hated that man for ignoring her and her mother.

No, he's the only one who seems to still expect his father's love and affection, while his father? The man was trying desperately to get rid of it.

Rudi hasn't changed. The man was still staring at her with the same hatred as when she was still a kid.

All the way home, she hoped that a miracle would happen. Although she is a very rational person, she wants a miracle where her father warmly welcomes her with open arms and welcomes her. No step-mother and step-sister drama.

She even hoped that everything that she heard was a scenario where Uncle Jefry was the real villain. That the man tried to destroy the bad relationship between her and her father then took all her property. However, there was nothing wrong with Uncle Jefri's words, her father didn't want her in his new life.

Her father tried to erase her and her mother's shadow that haunted him in his happy marriage.

Renessa recalled all of Uncle Jefri's words when she met him at that time.

Uncle Jefri and his family have been working as lawyers for the Pramata Family for a long time. The man's family has worked in their family for generations and this man is also a good friend of Claudia Pratama, Renessa's mother. It was just the drama in her mind that she felt that Uncle Jefri had unrequited love for Claudia and he never dared to confess his feelings to her until Claudia finally married Rudi.

Uncle Jefri was very surprised when he heard Renessa's story, who lived in poverty in her dorm. All this time, he thought Renessa lived in luxury since she always received quite a lot of monthly money from her mother's will. He knew this because he was one of the lawyers who handled Claudia's and Herman's wills. As for her grandpa's will, it said that she would also get the money after she was 25 years old. However, there was a limit for every months and if Renessa wanted to use a lot of money from the bank account, she had to consult the three lawyers of Pratama family.

At that time, Renessa could not believe what Uncle Jeff said and tried to think positively about her situation. She tried to convince herself that her father might be having money issues and was busy with the problem in his company. That's why he had never contacted her and gave her only a small amount of money.
