Forgive

She actually felt a little sorry for throwing the tray of food at the previous maid, but she felt that if she didn't act decisively and position herself as the host, there would be other impudent maids who would belittle her and deliberately play tricks on her.

Renessa took the spoon and started tasting the soup when she felt a salty taste filled the entire mouth. She furrowed her brows and quickly reached for the water on the tray. But she immediately spit out all the water in her mouth when the dominant taste of saltiness filled her mouth again.

Renessa looked at the tray of food in front of her in annoyance. She now regretted throwing away the first tray of food. Maybe this is a lesson so next time she doesn't waste any food. She should have just scolded the maid and not thrown her food away, now she was too hungry to wait for another meal to be delivered.

Renessa was silent for a while before deciding to sample the other dishes there. Luckily apart from water and soup, other foods still tasted delicious in her mouth. Renessa then prayed briefly and immediately ate all the food in front of her.

After she was full, Renessa put everything on the tray and walked towards the kitchen with the tray in her hand. Some of the maids were surprised to see Renessa's appearance in the kitchen. Their master Mister Rudi, Missus. Laura, and Miss Mary seldom set foot in that place. They usually ask the waiter or Liam to get something from there.

Since it was the servants' dinner hour, almost all the servants in the house were there. They sat around the two long tables that were there. Some of the maids who were eating stopped for a while when they saw Renessa's appearance. Renessa didn't feel awkward at all and put the tray of food in the kitchen sink and stood there watching the maids one by one.

"You should have just asked the maid to fetch it from your room, miss," a maid tried to break the ice.

"That's okay. I intend to walk around for a while," Renessa answered kindly. Some of the maids who initially looked a little tense with Renessa's appearance looked relieved to hear her friendliness.

Vina, who was also among the maids, didn't feel afraid or awkward at all. She knew her master would protect her because she had taken care of Miss Mary for ten years.

Mary's dependency on herself also often saved her from the various problems she caused in that place. The other maids could only sighed when she made trouble because she would not be punished for her mistakes. Vina sometimes feels that she is one of the Santoso family because of the special treatment she gets.

Renessa walked out not long after she spoke to some of the maids.

Renessa walked back into the kitchen fifteen minutes later. Some of the maids who had finished their meal had already left the kitchen but Renessa didn't care because her target was still there.

"You, what's your name?" Renessa asked while pointing at Vina.

"My name is Vina. I am Miss Mary's personal maid," Vina said confidently. Some of the maids in the kitchen had started to suspect that Vina was causing trouble and some of them looked at Renesse with concern.

They knew that so far Vina had never been punished when she made mistakes. Almost everyone seemed to close their eyes to Vina's arbitrary attitude, which made the woman sometimes have a big head.

Renessa was a little embarrassed to see Vina's overbearing behavior. Now that Vina replied to her words with an impolite tone she had to show her power as one of the owners of the house.

"Pack your things and get out of this house or I will report you to the police if I still see your shadow still roaming around my house tomorrow," Renessa said casually before turning and leaving the kitchen.

All the maids froze at Renessa's words. When Renessa finally left the kitchen, they started whispering and trying to guess what really happened.

Some of the maids didn't seem to care, some were seen whispering while pointing at Vina, and some were approaching Vina to find out what was really going on.

Vina didn't look worried at all and responded to the words of several maids by saying that Renessa hated her because she was Mary's favorite maid.

Hearing this, several maids began to insult Renessa. They don't like bosses who go around like that.

Rosalin, who happened to be there, immediately ran after Renessa. "Miss, what happened?" She asked worriedly. She did not really care about the gossip, the only thing she cared about was to take care of Renessa since it was what Laura told her to do. She had just come back and directly witnessed Renessa was talking to Vina and told her that she was fired.

"She pranked me. She was so rude by spilling water on my clothes. She also mixed a lot of salt in the soup and water in my glass," Renessa answered while frowning. After she left the kitchen earlier, she went straight to the security room. Since there were several places in the house that had surveillance cameras installed, she wanted to know if any incidents were recorded by the CCTV cameras.

The thing she found was quite surprising because Vina did it in a place where her actions can be recorded clearly in camera. Renessa could see the woman clearly spitting in her soup on the first tray and mixing salt in her second tray.

Renessa shuddered when she saw all that happened. She didn't expect that her random action by throwing away the first tray of food would save her from the soup that the waiter spat on.

"Miss, maybe you should hold back a bit if you want to deal with Vina. She is Miss Mary's favorite maid. All this time, she always gets away from every problem and never is punished for her mistakes," Rosalin tried to explain.

"Why should I do that? She was the one provoking me first." Renessa looked at Rosalin with slight disbelief.

If she did not listen to the word herself, she will not believe that Rosaline had just told her to back down and even should be afraid of a maid that has disrespected her. Even though she was Mary's caretaker, she was still a maid. She should not have power that is similar to the owner of the house.

Feeling the eyes was still following her, Rosalin sighed and started to explain with a worried face, "she always took advantage of Miss Mary's feelings of pity and always asked the girl to help her. She almost got fired several times, but after seeing Mary constantly crying, master and madam couldn't bear it and always forgave Mary's mistake."

The thought of one maid being overpowered and oppressing another maid with her power bothered her a little. She wouldn't really care if that maid didn't get into trouble with her, but this maid actually looked down on her and dared to talk to her like that, let alone prank her. This was just too much.
