Evidence

"I can't do it. I only intend to protect this family. If she is not punished for her actions, she will make the same mistake again. We can never guess what's in a person's mind. She could do even more dangerous things to Mary when she finally feels resentful of Mary, or even of you or father," Renessa began to instigate. Actually, she rarely resorted to such devious ways and tricks. But when she had people who wanted to bring her down in the dormitory where she used to live, she would start instigating some people and destroy them from within.

"Oh right. If I am not mistaken, doesn't Mary want to be a professional ballerina? She needed to be careful to befriend someone good or be careful of people around her. Wrong move could cost her whole career. It is also the same with people around her. They could also drag her down if they make a mistake offending a big name," Renessa murmuring the words not so quietly. It was enough for everyone to hear her.

Laura was a little stunned at Renessa's words. She and Rudi had always gotten complaints about Vina's bad attitude but they turned a blind eye to everything the woman did because they felt Vina had been instrumental in saving Mary.

But thinking back to what Vina could have done to her daughter made her body stiffen slightly. If she was in Vina's position, she actually had some advantages because she knew all the activities, habits, and allergies or medications that Mary could not take and finishing off her child would not be a difficult thing. What if Vina's condition was the result of her interference?

Moreover, she had another plan for her daughter. With Mary's great figure and beautiful face, she could be a great model. If Mary's name got bigger in the future, she should beware of Mary's surroundings and an overconfident maid who does not know her place was not a good distraction for them.

"Never mind, we better stop all this nonsense!" Rudi was still about to speak but when he saw Laura raise her hand, he fell silent again.

Seeing the doubt starting to form in Laura's eyes, Renessa knew Laura was starting to believe her. No, it was better than that, she might be closer to victory.

"Madam, master, I'm doing this for Miss Mary, I just want to teach Miss Renessa a lesson for taking Miss Mary's room. I only did this because I care for Miss Mary. She was like a sister and a daughter to me," Vina began to shout hysterically when she realized that Laura was starting to fall for Renessa's words.

Laura gave Vina a quick glance before giving Renessa a slightly annoyed look, "show me the proof." Laura would decide what to do with Vina after seeing the video Renessa was referring to.

"No, mom.... Help Vina," Mary sobbed as she grabbed Laura's arm. She couldn't bear to see Vina kneeling and crying like that. It was the first time she saw Vina looking so desperate. Her mother also looked increasingly shaken by Renessa's incitement.

"Madam, I'm really doing this for Miss Mary. I did not have any intention," Vina cried, adding to the hubbub in the room. Renessa snorted softly at the charade before her. Her ears already hurt even though she had only been there for less than 30 minutes.

"Vina, wait outside, we'll discuss everything first," Rudi's stern voice made Vina's body stiffen. Rudi's head was about to burst listening to Mary and Vina's sobs an hour ago. He realized that Vina had contributed greatly to Mary, but when he understood Renessa's words, he suddenly felt reluctant to let Vina spend more time with Mary. He did not want his innocent daughter to become as cunning as that woman.

"Sir…" Vina made a pleading face at Rudi. She wanted to know what would happen. If she left the room now, she was sure a cunning woman like Renessa would continue to instigate her, pledging to throw her out. This was the first time she felt that pleading with Mary was completely useless.

"Get out of this room now," Rudi ordered even louder when he saw Vina had no desire to leave the room. He was a little annoyed to see Vina who began to disobey his words. It seemed that the maid had begun to defy him because Mary was by her side.

Mary's body jumped in surprise at the harsh tone in her father's voice.

This was the first time Rudi yelled at Vina in front of her. Mary had always favored Vina which made the woman also someone who was also quite privileged compared to the other servants in front of Rudi and Laura. Mary never thought there would be a day when her father would be this rude to Vina.

Not accepting that Vina was treated like that, Mary stomped her feet, walking after Vina out of the room with a stifled sob. She was annoyed at her father for behaving like that and showed her disapproval by leaving which was a very stupid thing to do as her leaving allowed Rudi and Laura to think more calmly.

Now that Vina and Mary were out of the room, Rudi could breathe a little easier. There were no more sobs that made his head pound.

"Show me the evidence," Laura said curtly. Renessa let her be because she was only one step away from victory.

Laura looked at some videos on Renessa's cell phone. She played the first video. Laura felt a little strange when she found Vina carrying a tray of food that seemed to be headed towards Renessa's room. But she stopped near Renessa's door and started spitting soup and stirring it.

Laura winced at Mary's disgusting act. She didn't expect the woman to do something like that. The video cut to Mary in the kitchen. This time she put a spoonful of salt into the glass and the soup was about to be delivered back to Renessa's room and then the video stopped.

"Is this what you mean by evidence?" Laura said with a hint of scorn. She actually liked the way Vina was teaching the insolent girl in front of her a lesson, unfortunately she was caught out by her own stupidity.

"Don't you realize you're planting a time bomb?" Renessa said in a slightly patronizing manner, causing Laura's temper to flare up.

Rudi, who overheard their conversation, was also angered by Renessa's words, "A child like you doesn't understand anything. Don't talk like that to my wife!" Rudi rebuked her sternly.

Renessa finally relented, she couldn't keep being that rude if she wanted to get what she wanted, "Aunt Laura knows that human feelings are unpredictable, right? It's possible that she'll do the same thing to Marry later because she's upset about her personal problems. Mary seems like an innocent and vulnerable child, I'm just afraid she'll have a bad influence on Mary."

Renessa's words left Rudi and Laura stunned into silence. Renessa wasn't entirely wrong. They had even seen for themselves how cunning Vina was, but at that time they only thought about their daughter's happiness and would not do anything if Vina did not hurt their beloved daughter.
