Again

Zayn was currently half asleep in a familiar room that wasn't his. He subconsciously snuggled into the hand wrapped around. He took a double take. "A hand?" Zayn thought. It took a second for it to connect but Zayn instantly pushed himself out of the bed. His mind was reeling. He held his head in pain and tried to find his balance. He realized where he was. Again he was at Aaron's house in his bed. He internally cringed with his whole body. "What the fuck?"

Aaron opened one eye and just as quickly closed it. "What?" His voice sounded groggy. Zayn felt so weird at this moment.

"Why the hell was your hand around my waist?!" Aaron didn't answer but just snuggled into a pillow.

"I don't know. Sorry I guess." Aaron said as it came out muffled into his pillow. Zayn sat at the end of the bed sighing looking over his shoulder at Aaron feeling sorta bad he had to carry him up a flight of stair while he dropped all his weight on him. "Gimme 5 minutes." Zayn couldn't remember the kiss but Aaron can.

"Why didn't you take me home?" Zayn softly asked.

"I couldn't do that. I wasn't sober and I'm responsible unlike some people, so I didn't drive anywhere. You passed out and that's not exactly a site everyone wants to see and I walked Danie home so no worries." He even forgot to ask about her. He hasn't been paying attention to her lately and he knew she was probably taking it badly like she usually did. He knew her feelings and how she felt about his actions towards her but he could reciprocate the love she showed in the same way. Maybe he was insensitive and that's why he has always been so oblivious. "Hey, do you wanna hang out with me today?" Aaron raised his head out of his pillow.

"No." Zayn just wanted to go home and scrub his mind of Aubrey's ridiculous assumptions and his embarrassing moments.

"Please, just spend the morning with me. I'll make you breakfast and we can watch a movie." All Zayn heard was food and nodded his head. Zayn watched Aaron move across the kitchen gracefully making breakfast for them both. Zayn couldn't help but look at him in the light he was avoiding seeing him in. He could help but feel what he felt even if he was trying to push Aaron away.

"Don't you think here is a bit..."

"Lonely? Yeah I understand. My dad and stepmom don't stay here and the cleaning service doesn't come in until saturday. It's just me." Aaron said half smiling. Zayn felt bad and sad for Aaron. He didn't appreciate the company of his siblings but if they weren't around he could imagine how that would feel. The doorbell rang alerting the two to the door. "It's open!" Fuck.

Saintclair and Zayn made contact and looks could definitely kill. Aubrey pushed Saintclair aside, recognizing the energy in the room and rushing towards Zayn and pulling him into another room. "Why are you still here?" Aubrey whisper-yelled at Zayn. Did Zayn have a death wish?

"Dunno, Aaron asked me to stay." Zayn answered, scratching the back of his neck.

"Why would he ask when he knew we were coming?" Zayn shrugged once more. He didn't know they were coming. He would not have stayed because of Staintclair. No drama please.

"I said no but he insisted." Aubrey glanced over at the couple in the kitchen. Aubrey looked sort of worried. Zayn picked that up quickly.

"You need to leave." Zayn nodded and let Aubrey pull him back into the kitchen. "Uh…We need to uh- go somewhere. Bye… Bye Aaron." Aubrey tugged on Zayn's hand for him to follow him but Aaron stopped them stepping between them and the door.

"Where are you going, I just made breakfast?" Zayn didn't want to turn down the food that smelt so good so he pulled away from Aubrey and made himself comfortable at the counter. Aubrey palmed himself in the face but faltered to the offer. Aaron noticed his worried face.

"Are you okay?" Aubrey nodded shaving spoons into his mouth.

Saintclair was completely uncomfortable. Why was HE here? Why was Zayn here? He already explained his problem with Zayn to Aaron and it felt like he was being ignored. He felt like Aaron really did like Zayn. It was hurting but he didn't want to say anything in this room because as far as he knows Zayn thinks they're just friends. He had to get rid of Zayn sooner or later or wedge his friendship with Aaron.

"Aubrey, where were you two going?" Aubrey started playing with his fork and pretending like he couldn't hear.

"A friend thing. It's none of your business."

Zayn said nonchalantly. Aaron paused but continued eating he didn't want to press.

"Yeah that! And I think we have to go, like now." Aubrey picked up his pace with his spoonfuls. Lowkey Zayn didn't want to leave but because of Aubrey's advice, he felt like he had to. He would stay if Saintclair wasn't mean mugging him. Aubrey grabbed Zayn's wrist pulling him outside the house. "The excuse you used might come off as a slight y'know." Zayn shrugged.

"Who cares you told me to create some distance and that did the trick." Aubrey couldn't fight that. It was the advice he passed on.

"Leave, see you on Monday."

Zayn came home to his older brothers arguing with each other. He thought he could just pass by them with them noticing but before he could climb the staircase they pulled him into the living room.

"Details details, give us the details dear young brother." They both bombarded him with questions about his night at a party including the sons and daughters of very rich people that belonged to his community.

"It was… lackluster. Nothing fun happened. Wish I had something to tell you." Zayn lied.

"Oh come on!"

"Lies!" The twins yelled. They didn't believe their brother. They were sure he was a ladies man and had stories to tell so why was he being a prude.

"You did meet some new girl right?" Toby asked.

"Nope." Zayn didn't want to be interviewed by his brothers 10 in the morning on a Saturday. "Can I leave?"

"No!"

"Okay, Nobody fought? Nobody cheated on their jock boyfriend or cheerleader girlfriend?" Zayn just shook his head as a response.

"Something definitely happened. Our boy looks shaken." Kenji says talking directly to his twin.

"Nothing happened." Zayn defended but that went over the twins head.

"Shame, our brother doesn't want to share. Leave." Toby points up the stairs and Zayn takes his chance to run away from the conversation.
