     "What if, as a mate, I'm not enough for you?" She bites down on her lower lip to still the quiver. "What if I can't live in your world?"


     "Not enough? Sophia, you are far more than I can handle at times." Aden lightly runs his thumb over her lower lip. "I'm willing to do whatever is needed to have a relationship with you. I told you this before." He kisses her.


     "Look, I'm willing to explore other alternatives that will make you happy and more comfortable."


     Silence lingers in the surrounding air.


     "We can marry the traditional human way, too, if you prefer," says Aden, "in addition to following the ways of the fae world, of course."


     "I don't want to disappoint you." She frowns. "All of this is new to me."


     "For me, as well, and I only ask one thing of you right now - that you're honest with me regarding your feelings. Can you do that? Can you be honest about how you feel?"
