Chapter 11

The creature is about the same height as the giant from the first test, but with the difference that its skin is very wrinkled and full of bone spines almost the size of a man, with a deformed face, its mouth with teeth like needles is located on the side, in addition to having six arms with large thorns that emerge from the center of its palms, which it throws at us as if it were a crossbow.

Alfred, who is the one in the front, is the first to attack the monster, and almost without thinking he dodges a thorn by taking a great leap against the wall that he uses as a mean to carry out another one in a row, he gets close enough to be able to mutilate one of his arms but his target gets in the way trying to hit him.

The demon emits a slight cry of pain but does not stop and tries to hit him with its spears after Alfred has reached the ground but he is supported by the boy he had helped before, which causes a great detonation that gets rid of all the thorns and leaves the creature blinded.

Then Alfred makes a movement similar to a baseball player, he throws his ax that easily cuts the arm that protects the demons face and gets embedded right in the middle of his forehead, leaving him dead immediately.

The boy expresses himself very happy raising his arms, "Great, these weapons are awesome!"

Alfred reprimands him, "You shouldn't take it so lightly boy, you should admit that this is not a video game, this is real and you can die at any moment."

The boy responds dejectedly, "Man, how boring you are sometimes, but you're right, although I don't think it's too bad to party every now and then and keep the morale always high."

"Yes, but this is not the time for celebrations or distractions."

"Yes, ok if you said so ..." At that very moment he is pierced from behind, a thorn coming from the not yet defeated monster threw, comes out of his abdomen.

Alfred is stunned by the completely unexpected death of his friend right in front of his eyes, "But ... How... ? What ...?" Then he reacts flooded with rage, "Aaah I'm going to make you pay for this bloody monster!" He runs up to the boy's body and takes his sword, then he runs at full motion towards the murderer, "Now I'm going to make sure you go back to the hell you came from!"

But when his holy weapon founds her way to the creature's head, he no longer has the power it grants hers previous owner, but he goes blinded by anger, towards a certain death.

The creature is ready to shoot again, but I stop it, I make use of a flat rock that sticks out of the ground diagonally like a ramp, I make a large and deep cut behind one knee causing it to fall leaning against it, allowing it to be at the mercy of Alfred's sword that drives deep into his throat.

My partner is covered by the blood of the demon and tries to carry his weapon even further inside him, he looks very angry at the demons eyes until he sees them lose their shine, "You're not running away from this, right!" He yells furiously as he takes the weapon out of him letting out even more blood and then introduces it into one of the monster's eyes. He tells me very upset with himself, "That boy's death wasn't just his fault, Is my faul too. I distracted for a second and look at how it all ended." He taks a deep breath and continue, "I didn't even know his name.

But, I am sure of something, the poor man was very brave, he could have been a great hero."

"But, I'm afraid luck was not with him.

Maybe, just maybe that's another factor that has to be reckoned with in this game."

We resume our march and the situation is only getting worse, the terrain is full of irregularities in the solid rock that replaces the previous soil, in addition to a number of loose rocks of all kinds of sizes everywhere in addition to stalactites and stalagmites that often join together creating large columns.

This means that we cannot keep up with a fast pace as before, but our bloodthirsty pursuers are hardly affected.

Those with long-range weapons like bows and crossbows start to shoot at the demons that are hot on our heels, but that can't stop those who are faster like bloodhounds and other human-like bodied species climbing up the walls very fast by means of its two tentacles that come out from the head and they attacks with their arms and legs are like blades trying to reach us.

Elizabeth is the first to reply, she appears right in front of the enemies decapitating them and stabbing them at vital points like the heart and head just before they can react. That is in the case of those that hang from the ceiling because in the case of the hounds that are big as trucks she only can attack theim in the legs so that they fall and delay since getting close to their throat is something very risky. The brave girl finds herself in a very difficult situation having to face several enemies at the same time; reaching the point that one of the others is killed by a hound that falls on top of him and tears him to pieces without her being able to do anything, only hear his screams of agony.

To which she reacts by saying as she eliminates one of the ones from the ceiling by stabbing him in the chest, "Damn, they are too many!"

Until me and Alfred come to the front and he speaks out full of determination, "Don't worry princess, the cavalry has arrived!" He ends the sentence by avenging the fallen comrade by splitting the head of his murderer.
