The alternative

She glanced at him when he came back and Emma clapped.

"Are you also a devotee?" He said puffing.

"Splendid performance, really off the top of your head" Emma passed him a wry.

"I can see the ringlets of your hair returning" He pointed and she cupped her hair pouting.

"Performance? I do not understand what do you mean?" He glanced at Darcy for a better explanation.

"That was awful," She said and they huffed "Thank goodness you're back, of course, we're glad you're still alive" They gave him quick hugs and spoke at the same time, he looked perplexed.

"Have I done something wrong?" He asked

"I was only expressing my deepest respect for earth"

They paused at Zeke riding a bike to her porch and dropping it, he jogged to them.

"Please," He huffed catching his breath. "Please, tell me that's not the costume... you're going with"

"Where's your skateboard?"

"Broke it in a stunt" He gasped holding up his broken phone.

He slid down the raft and rolled upturned, he slipped and dropped off the raft.

"oof"

"That wasn't me" Darcy rolled her eyes.

"Right" He winked "Hey man"

"Hello, I prefer to be dubbed Nova instead"

He said as they clapped hands and hugged it out.

"You're a terrible Shadow," Darcy said.

"I think he's spot on" Zeke tapped his back.

"All he needs are tights and purple shades to complete the picture" Emma outlined her eyes with her fingers.

"The real one stays on a low profile, you're ruining my image"

"Suck it up, Dinkley," He said grinning.

She groaned and he stood back at Pooch coming then stiffened when he got a lick on the face. Spitting out hair "Good dog"

"What do you propose I do, to save your image?" He clutched her hands.

His form changed to hers, on the same dress

"This is really weird," Emma said uneasily.

He morphed back.

"You should probably create your own appearance" Zeke shrugged "Before you go berserk"

"My Lord, the mothership is offline"

T'allen said refusing to look him in the eyes as he watched the video feed on his monitor.

He was humanoid and had long tubes running down his wedged posterior attached to the chair and withered thin legs.

He hadn't gotten up since his disablement during the war with Andros.

"Squadron A has failed again" He crossed his hands

"And the Andronian lives"

"Hmm" He grimaced at Earth's new champion fighting off villains, he was putting up a front with the humans and they believed him.

"T'allen, you are now appointed as the new General" He concluded.

"Yes, Our Lord and Cosmocrat Zandax" He bowed and his dark wings drooped forward,

he had a halo on his head and he was about 15 feet tall with grey skin and disgusting eyes like that of a fish about to expire.

On Planet Inferno, it was drawn a parallel between Hell and a prison. They had slaves from every realm they conquered, from Euphorion to Gagarin to Kruger.

At the moment, he was very concerned that the slaves might shake off their weights.

"T'allen"

"Yes, Lord Zandax"

"Begin Phase 2"

"Set the cores in course," He instructed.

...

Nova pulled down the blue costume with whites cutting across his shoulders and chest, he had white gloves with red outlines and the boots were the same. He had a white cape too.

"It's good," Darcy said.

"What's a good name for you?" Frieda said hanging on a white box.

"How about The Outlander?"

"I like the sound of that" They turned to Pietro entering the room and holding a tray of smoothies, he smirked.

"How did he get in here?" Frieda pointed taking a soda.

"The door's unlocked and oh yeah, good idea, let the "blind guy" into the group. Like I wouldn't find out" He slurped his drink and went over to take Darcy's hand.

"Incantato" was more like "Enchanté" in French.

She yanked it off before he kissed it, ever since he found out she was Shadow-girl.

"Hmm," He walked about in the house, it looked like a tailor's workshop down here in Darcy's basement.

"Nova designed them"

"I approve" He smirked "And I get rights to that name too, 52 percent"

"The Outlander belongs to the people"

"It's a little ironic, don't you think?" He snickered outlining the dark spots above his lip line, he was growing a mustache.

...

She was walking home with her grocery bags in the evening and crossing by shops with things she ached to have, but with finances and rent, things were a little tight now that she wasn't living in her parent's home anymore.

"If only I don't have to think for myself. Adult Life sucks" She wiped her forehead running across the empty street under the streetlights to her small house, she paused at the dark figure standing still.

"Hello?" She looked closer "Is there a problem?"

She heard him pull something up and it started to glow, she exclaimed and tried to pull the door open and for a moment, it was stuck, but the rays had already gotten her.

He shuffled through her groceries and took a tomato eating it then dragged her body across into the dark.

...

And thank you for joining us on Angel News, this is Nat Fury, See you next week'

"Should I be concerned?" He asked watching.

"About being called back up? No" She said drinking from a juice box.

"I was referring to that woman on the picture, Forrester?"

She had bobbed red hair, hazel eyes, a pointed nose, okay lips, an average figure and tanned skin. She looked to be in her early twenties.

"Let the police handle it,"

...

Agnes and Norman Forrester, the aggrieved parents sat together waiting on a call from eyewitnesses.

"We shouldn't have been too hard on our baby," Norman said full of regrets and sniffed wiping his eyes.

She hadn't been picking up her calls or even replying on social media like she used to.

Agnes sat up when there was a knock on the door and opened it.
