4. A Case of Delirium

It was two weeks after the rendition of the King's eerie tale and King Aiglestar became much excited in his land.

The King was in his might in the Castle and when asked questions about the state of affairs in the Land, the King was unable to think or speak clearly.

The whole Cohorts of the castle thought it was due to the love he made with his wife Queen Batistas. King Aiglestar had begotten more hours and rounds of love and the King's Court Doctors made it known to King that his wife Queen Batistas had conceived and expectant of a baby and as such a Male Foal.

This fever which the King had made him unable to sleep well and for two months he was all around up and down the Castle with much joy and Animation and hyperactivity so much so that the whole land of Carmosa was bewildered unable to succumb to the pains of the King Aiglestar.

To abate the feeling of Delirium tremens which the King suffered the Castle and Council Healers and Doctors were summoned to proceed, offer and prescribe a savvy and potent liquid or food that would help return the King restoring him to his previous sober state.

During the two months of the King's unstable state of mind there was no case of war or unrest in the Land of Carmosa between it and the other kingdoms. For it was God's grace and saving bliss that kept the land in peace as the King Aiglestar would have in case of a postulation of war would have been unable to direct the command of his soldiers or knights of Carmosa in battle to defeat the forces of men that would have loved to attack the land and kingdom of Carmosa in young Paris.

During this time and tide of the King's health of unbalanced and unsteady state of mind, the Queen Batistas was in charge of activities and trade in the Land for the King when he was questioned as to whether the funds of the castle proceeds be brought to Him, the King with much laughter and unsteadiness replied, "Yes I am in a motion security." The King who never was a Security Guard spoke in reply as though he were one.

Queen Batistas in reply to the need of potion for healing her husband's fallible condition advised the Council Doctors and Healers that all her husband would need and require for his health was good sleep and a little daily activity like keeping company with him behind the campfire. You see, King Aiglestar's totem was the white dove which made the King though tough he was mostly gentle, just, righteous, peaceful, loving and wise.

During this King Aiglestar's delirious state there was still a compendium, aura and iota of sovereignty in the kingdom and it was very surprising that during the King's battle with his health there was still peace and tranquility in the Land.

Queen Batistas thought and pondered within her the fact that after the King became intimate with her and made love to her, his ending up in a delirium portended to her the fact that her yet unborn baby boy the Prince of Carmosa conceived between nine months was going to be filled with ecstasy and would be a very high and excited personality as if excited by wine.

The Knights, cohorts and calvarymen of the land of Carmosa made an inquiry and investigation on the cause of the King's ailment whether or not he had been drugged or poisoned or intoxicated by wine and as a result they all dreaded the drinking of wine that had much alcoholic content. But the investigation proved abortive. It was diagnosed that the King was only passing through a period of excitement for the awaiting of the birth of his Prince.

Every morning after his rousing from sleep, the King Aiglestar would have his bath, eat and call in the Palace Musicians to play him some high melodies which he danced to with all his mind and with all his might that people of the Castle thought that the cause of his excitement was his rich foods and musicals that uplifted the mind and the soul. But this apart from the Queen's blessed conception seemed to be the second and strange reason for his delirium after being romanticized by the Queen Batistas and waiting for the delivery of the upcoming heir and son to the throne of the King of Carmosa.

During the period of the King Aiglestar's delirium, the King's speech was incoherent and also had a poor reasoning faculty. He was also acting like a very young toddler and like a little child. However the delirious state did not surpass the spanning of two months through the months of April and May, the first two of the nine months of the Queen's conception and safe delivery. It was also shocking to know that after two months of the King's ailment, he could still recall the process of his sickness and how he acted however he prayed and worked in the aftermath that such delirium never resurfaced in the future.

So two months elapsed and the King Aiglestar recovered fully from his delirious state of mind and health and became hail and hearty. What his people thought would be a permanent health condition was only a fleeting ailment and King Aiglestar thanked God for granting him quick recovery and safe and sound health never to be ill again.
