Chapter 22 ( Getting to know each other)

I watch as Malisa ran up to Rowan, wrapping her arms around his left arm, taking his full attention and I frowned for reasons I know not off

" Rowan!" She carried a bright smile " I've been looking for you, for the past two days " she said and I raised an eyebrow wondering why

" oh, apologies, I was very busy " Rowan replied reluctantly while pulling his hand away from her grip

She jumped in front of him holding his hand in a flirty manner making me frown even more " no need to apologise, it's your duty after all " Rowan nodded " but sometimes one needs to rest, everyone needs to get out and get fresh air ones in a while "

" true " Rowan replied while looking at me and I gave him a small smile

" how about" she began again pulling his attention to her " we go for a ride, just the two of us " Rowan remained quiet for a while, I could see that I was thinking of what to say because both of us just made plans and I rolled my eyes at the thought of Rowan going with Malisa because who not? She was more of a lady than I was and she was his cousin, so she had more advantage

" Forgive me but Natalia and I already..." She cut him off

" Natalia" I could hear the irritation in her tone at the pronunciation of my name " really" looking at me like a criminal she was no longer smiling and this made me smile

" yes, really" I replied and she rolled her eyes at me

" maybe another day," Rowand said and she gave a sad look making her look cute I won't lie

Holding his left hand she rested her head on his shoulder and smiled " I can still come, I am sure Natalia won't mind " she said as her eyes fell on me and I almost frowned, what was she playing at. I didn't know why I was angry but I was. She was trying to play a game over Rowan and I will play the game as well and play it well. I know I said I was not her to marry Rowan, I came for a mission, but Lisa already won me one and it won't happen again

" oh, why will I" I smiled brightly

" Are you sure?" Rowan asked

" yes I am, and we should bring Amelia along, the other day she said she needed fresh air " Rowan Raised an eyebrow at me and Malisa looked shocked at my words

" Will that be necessary?" She asked

" oh yes, everyone needs fresh ones in a while," I said quoting her " and we should bring general Colin along, you know for security reasons, Rowan can't protect us all by himself" her mouth dropped out of shock

" oh Natalia the both of them don't have to come " she smiled

" why not, Amelia is always indoors going nothing and Colin has been busy they need a time out. I would invite the king if possible but I don't think he will want to come " smiling at her like a psycho " you won't mind right?" I questioned

" No " still in shock, she cleared her throat " not at all " I looked at Rowan who was confused at how I reacted

" ok " nodding his head " it is settled then, Eric " he called Eric who has been quiet the entire time

" sir "

" tell Edward to prepare 6 horses and you tell Amelia and Colin to get ready we are going out "

" yes sir " Eric walked past me giving me tombs up and I smiled in return. Watching Rowan pull his hand away from Malisa's grip, he said

" you should go get ready" she nodded with disappointment. She wanted to ruin my day but I turned things around

" see you in a few minutes," she said and walked away. I was busy looking at her and didn't realize that Rowan had stepped closer

" Really?" Calling my attention, I lift my head to get a better view of him " invite the king "

" what? She was trying to get me upset " he raised an eyebrow " don't judge me "

" go get ready," he said calmly before walking away

Walking down the stairs could see Rowan and the other waiting beside the horses. As I got to the bottom I noticed that I was the only lady in pants, and I smiled feeling like I had just active something. Ella wasn't too happy about the idea of me wearing pants but what can I say, I am a Princess with my own will

" Why are you dressed like that " Malisa asked like I did something bad

" like what, " I asked back

" like a boy "

" well I don't see boy written on my clothes soooooo" I shrugged, I could see Amelia smiling from the corner of my eyes "let's go", I was so excited to see the waterfall

" why only 6 horses, " Amelia asked curiously and then I remembered that I couldn't ride a horse, damn this is embarrassing

" Natalia will be riding with me," Rowan said as his eyes fell on me gesturing for me to come

" why?" Melisa sounded upset

" she not too good with the horse " I rolled my eyes at his words and walked up to him

" act all tough but can't even ride a horse " giving an irritated look with her arms crossed

" you got a problem with it," I asked knowing she won't have an answer

" We should be heading out now," Colin announced. Malisa flip her hair to the back and got on her horse so did everyone else. Rowan lifted me like he always did like I was just a piece of paper, and I balance myself on the horse and he got on as well.

All set, we took off to have a fun day. I don't know about others but I knew that Amelia and I did have a fun day, at first she was shy to get into the water but I pulled her in, Malisa on the other hand, I don't know, she spent most of her time next to Rowan and I could see he wasn't comfortable. I notice something, Colin and Amelia have a special connection and I knew something was up, I also notice that Rowan was pretty close to Eric he talked more freely to him than anyone else and I wondered why
