Chapter five

So...lunch was interesting today. I know your quiet confused right now, and your asking yourself questions and whatnot... I'm pretty sure your qustions will be answered soon. But not now, now the main question is...

What on Earth am I going to wear at the party ?

Well I was thinking my head out for like what felt like years but in reality it's been like 43 seconds, and my head is already buzzing from frustration.

Why on earth did I agree to this? Come on, it is not like this is my first party. I have been to many parties before. I can do this.

Walking to my big box of things, I took out a large plastic bag containing my clothes. I scattered the pieces of material all over the floor. When all the materials fell out, I sat down on the floor in search for something to wear on Friday night. I hope I find something.

"Okay, let's see. Who is Jennifer? Mischievous? Nope. Sweet and kind? Yeah, no. Okay, spicy and kind will do." I said to myself picking up a black silky dress that reached mid thigh.

"Georges!" I said beaming.

"Honey, are you home!?" A voice shouted as the front door was being closed.

"Up here mom!" I shouted back. I heard footsteps coming closer to my bedroom door and shortly after my mom walked through the door and spotted me.

"What are up to?" She asked sitting next to me.

"Oh, I got invited to a party... is it cool if I go?" I asked even though I know the answer will be yes.

"Yeah sure, are you a trouble bich again of the shy girl?" She asked chuckling.

"I haven't thought of it yet. I'll just go with the flow this time, and if shit goes on I'll be prepared for it." I say shrugging.

"Well then, what are you going to wear?" She asked looking at the mess I've created on the floor.

I shimmied on my spot and pulled up the dress. "I am going to wear this peace of awesomeness!" I said look at the smooth material.

"Ooh...I know which shoes you can wear that with."

"I'm not wearing hills mom." I said rolling my eyes and cutting her sentence short.

"Shut up and let me speak prick!" She said rolling her eyes back at me.

Yes people she's my mom. The woman that raised me. She says stuff like that, a person who is 'supposed' to scold anyone that uses words like that in front of her.

"You can speak." I said looking at her.

"As I was saying. You can wear this with the black Adidas shoes I bought you." She said with a huge grin on her face.

"What black Adidas shoes?" I said, confusion lacing my voice. As she rushes out of the room and coming back after a few moments.

"These babies!"

Then a box landed infront of me. Opening the lid, I saw shinny black shoes with three strips on them and Adidas written on the back side of the shoe.

"Oh shit!" I whispered.

"You like?" She asked me.

I laughed at her words. "A lot." I said hugging the shoes.

"Wow, so the person who brought you the shoes doesn't get a hug?"

"You know I love you mom, but you can't compete with these shoes." I said as she just gasped at me.

These shoes in my hands are the same shoes I have wanted seance they where put on shelves and now they are mine. This is amazing. So I hugged my mom tightly. " Thank you. They are beautiful." I said to her as she chuckles quietly.

" I am glad you like them, honey. Now clean up this room, it looks awful." She says, pointing at the mess I have made on the floor.

"Yes ma'am." I said picking up the materials scattered throughout the floor.

" When you are done, come downstairs and eat. I brought pizza." And then she walks out.

Looking at the materials of clothing that's around me I wish I had a maid right now. The logical thing is to pack the materials nicely and put them back into the bag, but seance I'm not that logical I just grab as many materials of clothing my tiny hands and shoved them in the bag. Then I repeated my actions again until all the materials were in the plastic bag.

Within 5 minutes people. That's how it's done.

I then again shoved the big plastic bag into the box where it belongs and rushed to the kitchen for some delicious pizza.

"You are done already?" My mom asked with astonishment.

"Yep." I said popping the 'p'.

"Well that's honestly abnormal but okay." She said shrugging as she placed three slices of pizza on two separate plate's and handed on over to me.

"Enjoy." She said taking a seat next to me as I took a bite out of the pizza.

When I reached my last slice I heard a knock from the door. I look at my mother expecting her to get the door but she just scoffed.

"You go anywhere. I too busy." She said stuffing her face with pizza. Unbelievable. Sighing softly I stood up and walked to the door, opened it and boy I wasn't expecting the person I saw on the other side of the the door.

"Hi."

"What are you doing here?"

"I came here to talk."

"Who's at the door, honey?"

"It's Vivian." I said looking at her like she would disappear in any given moment.

"I just want to talk. I promise." She said with pleading eyes.

If you were wondering. Yes, this is the same Vivian who was being all savage at school. Okay maybe savage is a tad bit more dramatic.

However I do not know this Vivian who is standing infront of me.

The Vivian I know is calm and sweet. However people change right?

People around us play a huge role in changing us and I was part of that change, the same way she was a part of my change. The people who we most trust can let us down when we least expect them to. That hurts, I can tell you that.

Talking can make the hole misunderstanding clear, but we still can not take back all the things that were said when we fought.

We can fix it though but my heart won't let me. I still find it hard to talk about my feelings to people.

That is what I need to to though. I have to do this do that me and her can find peace.

Peace is all that is needed for the soul to run free.
