I woke up to the sound of thunder.
I could not have missed it because I am sleeping near a window, but other then that I am also on the second floor. Which means I am closer to the sky.
Stupid I know.
Currently I am looking at the ceiling, criticality analyzing it and so far it is good if I do not count the sloppy conner work that has yet to be done. The design is flawless though, it has lovely patterns on it. It is white with touches of gold and silver. The light hung on the center, looking like a cherry on top of an ice-cream sundae.
I am not even kidding. This guy has a red light bulb -covered by a crystal ball thing that is used to cover a light bulb- hanging on his ceiling like nobody's business.
Enough about the ceiling.
I have been laying here for I don't know how long and I am starting to get hungry. I that not even stopped raining. I want to stand up however I am not so sure that my leg is going to allow that. Even though it is not as sore as it was last night, before I took the pain medication.
My hand is healing from what I am seeing... the muscles around the cut are tight though.
I look away from the ceiling and look at the person beside me
Jayden.
He is a quite sleeper and when I woke up I did not even feel his presence beside me. He was still laying the same way I found him when I woke up, it was like he was dead. The only thing reassuring me that he was indeed alive was his chest moving slowly.
Okay it is time to go to my house now, I have been here for long enough.
My first mistake was sitting up.
My second mistake was standing up.
My ankle grazed the edge of the bed, making a wave of pain to rush through my system.
I shrug it off though and make my way towards the door and honestly walking there was not as painful as I thought it would be, matter of fact it was not even painful to walk... the problem was when I touch the stitched up flesh.
Once I have made my way to the front door I realized that the door was locked when I tried to open it.
"I honestly don't have time for this." I mumbled softly to myself.
A normal person would look for the keys to the door, but since I am nothing near normal I full out the pin that was on the side of my head and pick the lock.
"Still got it." I say after shutting the door behind me.
I quickly lock it again.
I test if it's locked and it was.
"Genius." I sighed to myself.
I have not used this skill for approximately one and a half year, when I was in Rio.
Dangerous times.
It was still raining but not as harshly as it was when I woke up so I make a run for it to my front porch.
Once I reached my front door I was glad that mom left the door unlocked. I walk into the darkness of the house until I reach my room... finally I can get that well needed nap.
I close my eyes once I placed my head comfortably on my pillow.
"Beeeeep Beeeep Beeep Beep!" My alarm clock shrieked when I was about to fall asleep.
Why does the universe hate me?
I look at my screaming alarm clock with a Haye filled glare. It was 6:00 am... how did that happen.
I can skip school right. I am sure mom will not have a problem with it, besides I'm injured so she can not send me to school. I could get more hurt.
No. I will get more hurt.
She will understand.
*30 minutes later*
"But mom! Look at my leg. Am I the only one who's seeing it?" I look at my mother with a surprised expression glued on my face.
I can not believe that she is making me go to school like this.
My mom came in to my room after 20 minutes saying that I should prepare to go to school since I am already home.
I regret coming back that early to say the least. I could have been gazing at Jayden's marvelous face right now
but I am here, arguing with my mother about going to school.
My mom looked at me for a moment, her bottom lip standing out. She was analyzing me. "When did you buy those shots?" She asked after some time.
"They are not mine." I started." I am not sure to whom they belong to but Jayden landed them to me... and the shit." I finished.
"Okay then. Get ready soon or else you will have to walk to school." She said then picked up her -now I'm guessing- cold cup of coffee off of the kitchen counter and walking out.
This is happening.
Might as well not argue any further.
I walk to the bathroom and start preparing for school as interacted by my mom.
"What a lovely friend." I say to myself as I brush my hair and put into a high ponytail.
I should really see a specialist before it falls out from all the harsh chemicals it was exposed to. I will go tommorow. I think I should trim it a little though, it is getting too long.
My ponytail hits the center of my back. I can not remember the last time I have cut it.
"You better be done in there." My mom says from behind my bedroom door.
"I'm done." I say, grabbing my bag from the floor where I left it yesterday.
I also need an umbrella. I think I have one in my box.
After looking for the umbrella in my messy box, I finally walk out off my room and into the kitchen.
"Finally. The bus will be here soon so you better make your way out." Mom said after seeing me.
She is a lovely mother isn't she?
When I finally made my way outside the rain is harshly hitting the ground.
Good thing I wore long pants and a jacket.
Soon enough the bud arrives and as I was about to jump inside something or someone pulled my bag so I can not get inside.
I turn around with questioning eyes and when I meet the face that was behind the action my eyes softened a little.
"David."I said in acknowledgement.
"What are you doing?" He asked with a puzzled expression.
"Ehm... going to school." I said looking at the bus that was about to leave without me any moment from now. "And I better be going before the bus driver gets more frustrated." I said looking at the annoyed look on the drivers face.
David gestured for the bus driver to leave with his hand and I was not happy about that. I am sure that my mother will not be happy about this too.
"You just disappeared from my house. How did you even get out because the door was still locked when I woke up." He said.
I definitely can not tell him that I picked his lock. That can make me a suspicious person. Heck, I am suspicious right now.
"Jayden let me out." I said.
Why do I like to dig my own grave? Jayden definitely did not let me out. He was sleeping when l left.
"Jayden let you out?" David asking, he looks slightly convinced though. I just need the final push of trust.
"Yeah. I had to get ready for school after all." I said, gesturing to my school uniform.
"That explains why he is not home then." He muttered.
I handed this situation like a pro.
Now the problem at hand is how the hell am I going to get to school on time so that my mom does not get mad at me for skipping like I was planning to do.
I glanced at David. He was wearing casual clothes, this means he is definitely not going to school. How wonderful of him that he gets to skip and I can not. Again...
why does the universe hate me?
I have to fix things up with the universe before it destroys any happy moments I could have. Like skipping school on a Friday.
Now that would be a dream come true if you ask me.
"Question. How am I going to get to school when you made my ride disappeared without me in it?." I asked.
"The question that should be asked here is why are you going to school while you are hurt." He said.
That is exactly what I am trying to understand mate.
"My mother forced me to." I said rolling my eyes.
"Ouch." He commented flinching.
I know right... this is just hurting me more.
