Chapter 29—You're welcome, my lovely ex-wife

Lilian was wasted sitting on a bench in a park. She massages the muscle of her aching calves due to the long run she did. She woke up early to tone up her messy head. She hadn't been able to sleep for a few days thinking about Lily.

She knew her daughter was just here but she couldn't find her that easily. There's a lot of bad sentiment unhinged her disturbing mind. Whilst Lily's not on her side she won't feel her mind sane.

Shortly, her phone rang. Daniel was calling. She answered it immediately.

[ Lilian, I am now looking for Alice Cruz among my staff. I just wanted to ask—if you are sure she is still here in the town?] He interestingly inquired while maneuvering the car.

" I'm hoping that she's just still here. Please don't stop looking for her. I have to get my child before William finds out that we have a third child. I might even lose Lily—and I don't want to have a bad argument with him again," she begged her brother.

[ All right, I'll take care of it. But, why don’t you tell Demetri about your plan? ] he suggested. She shook her head to disagree.

" I don't trust your brother anymore. I want after our contract ended, to quietly stay away from him. Away from people who just want to torture me," she replied. Daniel understands her situation.

After they talked, she decided to go home. As she waited for a taxi, she fixed her gaze on a white kitten on the side of the road. It wanted to cross the highway but lots of automobiles obstruct it.

She chose to approach where it was but when she got closer, the feline also began to bridge the road. She looked ahead, a car was speeding by so she quickly impeded the road and picked up the poor white kitty.

A loud sound of a screech from the car almost hit her.

The driver immediately came out and a trace of annoyance showed up on his face.

"Are you insane!? Are you going to slay yourself for a stray cat!" he scolded. He said a lot of bad utterances about what she did but she remained silent and gently caressed the poor cat.

“ So, tell me something! ” he shouted. Many automobiles have also been distracted from going so.

" I am sorry, sir" he apologized to the man. He was annoyed to face her and was about to scold her again but he was stunned and looked at the person standing behind her dumbfounded.

She turned at him behind. He was just too tall especially since she wasn't wearing heels. William was seriously staring at the male driver.

" I'm sorry for my wife's action. She really loves cats that much even she puts her own life just to save such a poor cat ", he politely apologized to the driver.

The man was surprised when he apologized and especially when he heard him calling his wife the woman in front of him.

Perhaps, Lilian was also surprised when her ex-husband called her that way. For the first time, she was called a wife in front of other people, especially a stranger.

Sounds romantic but it's not good to say it in public especially they split up a long time ago.

" It's okay, sir. I'm sorry for what I did earlier miss, " the man replied with an apologetic smile. William respectfully nodded to the man in front of him.

" Your welcome, sir " he bowed.

As in—she's blown up of surprise. How did William act like this? What did he eat and seem like he's a very polite person right now?

" Be polite honey," he commanded her.

She bowed her head as respect to the driver and admitted guilt before William grabbed her on the waist guided her to the parked black limousine.

" Rich but able to ask for an apology. That's what I wanted to see before but only now I witnessed," whispered the woman who saw William's action.

" Yes, the others as rich are very arrogant and they still know how to get angry even if they're the ones at fault," said the other lady.

William lightly smile shines upon his handsome face.

He's rude and rushes most of the time but he's hiding a true decent heart.

That sounds weird for Lilian's side.

William opened the door for her.

" Get in," he said softly.

" Thank you," she lovely thanked him.

" You're welcome," he gladly replied with a smile.

Lilian was surprised when he voluntarily fastened her seatbelt. She stared at his gorgeous countenance. He stared into her eyes before he laid back.

" You have to bathe the cat, you know the smell—it's a bit sensitive," he commented. She was smiled and nodded.

" Did you receive the bouquet I sent you yesterday?" William asked while they were on the trip.

Lilian turned her side at him.

It came from him! She threw it in the trash.

" Yes, I received it," she responded.

" Did you read the quotes I wrote on the note attached to the bouquet?" An interesting question came from him. He's a little bit intimidated by his question.

" Of course!" she lied. She threw it away with the whole bouquet.

" What was written?" he intrigued.

She turned his gaze out of the car.

" You threw it away. Actually, I didn't think of writing a note because I don't want you to know that the flower came from me," he replied.

" I'm expecting it comes from Wyndell. He sends a bouquet almost every day so I just throw it in the trash. It's just adding and messing some trash on my condo unit. And next, don't send a bouquet either. It's wasting of money, William ", she informed.

She was stunned when he brought his face closer to hers and examine her eyes carefully.

" Did you sleep well? You look sleepless," he noticed after he saw her eye-bags.

She takes a move backward. Their faces sound kissing each other. She really couldn't sleep thru she was thinking about Lily. And then, Lutos and Rose were still with her ex-husband. She was also planning a way to get Rose and Lutos in William's possession. She needs serious a lot of money to get them.

" Something is bothering me, but don't mind me,” she replied.

William also couldn't get why Lilian didn't seem to be doing anything to get Lutos and Rose. He feels strange about his ex-wife's method. He thought that she could come back to file a custody complaint but maybe Lilian thought that she would only lose the fight in court.

For now, William thinking about how he can beat Demetri in the risk while Wyndell also joins their agreement.

Who will be going to win against all odds?

For him, he would rather take risks to get Lilian's as a reward than lose her forever in exchange for wealth. If Wyndell uses his illness to get sympathy from her, and he should need to use his step-brother to defeat Demetri.

" Thank you for the lift," Lilian thanked when they arrived at the condominium.

" You are always welcome, my lovely ex-wife," he smiled in response to his beautiful ex-wife.

Lilian just turned her eyes at him and gave him a forced smile before she said a silent goodbye to William.
