Natsuo was following the driver to the backyard as men in black suits stood under the winter-bare cherry trees, exhaling cold air. His heart thundered as he stepped towards the red torii gate at the entrance of the garden, anxiety racing through his veins. The men in black suits watched his every move and Natsuo felt as if he was being judged, every step he took being analyzed.

There was a boarded floor along the exterior of the building and a paper sliding shoji door was open. A dozen suited men were inside the house, seated on the tatami floor, hands shown on their laps.
