Traitor

(One week later)

There was an eerie echo along the interrogation room's walls caused by the ticking of the wall clock.

A boy's face was expressionless, yet his blue eyes were fixed on the wall, almost as if he was looking for an answer. His fingertip was running unconsciously along the sutures on his right palm, a reminder of the wound he had gotten almost a week ago.

The door was gently opened and a woman wearing a gray suit stepped in. Her dark hair was swept up in a neat bun and her brown eyes were focused intently on the boy.

"I'm not happy to see you back here," she said as he adjusted her glasses.

"Me either," he answered gloomily without looking at her.

Detective Saika Ishikawa sat down in front of him, sighing deeply and placing her hands on a steel table. She looked at him compassionately, her expression softened by her understanding of the pain he was living through.

"Just to let you know, this is going to be a long process, so you better prepare yourself."
