The leviathan stopped revolving and curled up into a fleshy sphere. The carapaces lining upon its frame opened up like flood gates, revealing endless caterpillars nestling on the inside. Unlatching themselves from the rest of its ungodly cadaver, the carapaces fell and plummeted towards the ground. They rotted against their descent and turned into clouds of miasma, reflecting the edge of an upside-down polyandrium.
The clouds ascended towards the swarm and shrouded them in an unprecedented tide as it blotted out the entire heavens.
The horde huddled within, devoured and feasted upon their own kin as they plunged towards oblivion.
Until only one reigned supreme, for it was a caterpillar like any other, as intended, as obscured, and as bequeathed.
