“Selena, it’s been a while,” Vincent said, returning the embrace.

“Vincent!” she said and wrapped her arms around him. “Where have you been all this time?!”

“I am back now, am I not?”

“I was so scared! All those days…I... I…was all alone! I thought… I thought... you left me…left me to…” she muttered, and tears welled down her cheeks like the everlasting streams of the otherly Eden.

“It’s alright now,” he placed his hand on the side of her face and wiped off her tears.

“Ah! Mama is crying!” Celeste said.

“No, I am not! You be quiet now!” Selena said, but a smile curled up upon her face.

“Mama is crying!”

“I am not!” Selena rebuked and rubbed her eyes, but the tears still refused to cease.

Celeste hovered beside her mother and patted her head, “It’s okay! It’s okay! We finally found Papa!”

“Don’t make your mama feel more embarrassed as it is!” Selena berated, but not a trace of anger could be found in her eyes even now.
