“Yes, it is I,” Careen said with a smirk, “and was there any need to shout like a barbarian? Oh my, what will your dear Husband think of you?”
Selena’s breath turned ragged, her chest heaved up and down, for she gazed upon Careen with a glimmer of divine lighting brewing within her emerald-like eyes.
“What’s this I see? You want to fight like when we were little kids, is it?” Careen said and laughed.
Selena gritted her teeth, and strings of golden threads circled before her skin.
“Got nothing to say, is it? Heh! Keep on glaring like a rabid dog then,” Careen sneered.
Selena abruptly closed her eyes and buried her face deep into Vincent’s chest.
“Huh?” Careen frowned.
“What’s wrong, Selena?” Hertha asked and nudged upon her shoulders.
“Nothing is wrong!” Selena said in a muffled voice. “Humph! Just don’t want to ruin our reunion because of that hag, so I am just going to pretend she is not here at all!”
“What did…you just say to me!” Careen shouted.
