Thank God I found Abby!! My poor girl was wandering the woods all night, too afraid to come in the cabin. She was tired, dirty and dehydrated but alive. She was able to tell me what happened yesterday.

A pack of zombies broke down the door to the cabin. Sam was able to kill the first few and give Debbie a chance to get out with the baby and Abby. They ran from the cabin. Some of the details are hard to gather from Abby but somehow she got separated from Debbie but had the sense to run back to the cabin and hide nearby in the woods. This morning, she snuck inside. I am relieved to have her back but going out of my mind thinking that my baby is still out there somewhere.

At times, I think it is silly to write in this diary but once I find Nick, I can give it to him, so he knows all I've been through. Or maybe I keep it because HE gave it to me, and he'd want me to write.

I set out with Abby today to find Debbie and my baby. I took all of the supplies we could carry, including the revolver I found lying next to Sam Henderson.

Sam taught me a lot about finding food in the woods, laying traps for game, edible plants. I have Nick's Army Field Guide which I have read and read over and over. I don't feel prepared, but I have the will to live. I'm going to find Anthony and then I'll find Nick and Tommy. Nothing will stop me.

I searched the woods for hours, tracking Debbie's path. It looks like she ran east then hit the stream and followed it south. I came across a group of armed men who made camp downstream. I was ready to greet them when I saw a young woman tied up to a tree. Apparently, these men had captured her. I can't believe how far humanity has fallen in such a short time. I circled the camp wide and continued my journey.
