You flip the book to the last entry, which is the day you found the camp and took the diary.

Abby woke up crying this morning. Nightmares again. She keeps picturing Nick and Tommy as zombies. I told her not to think about it even though I know it is the most likely outcome.

About a mile from camp, I saw a group of survivors who set up in an old farm house out by the main road leading to Temperance. I figure it may be a good idea to introduce myself to them. Though Abby and I are doing well, we can't go on like this for much longer and need the resources and protection of a larger group. I'll scout the outside of the property and try to gather information, but if there are signs that they're friendly, I may bite the bullet and meet them. I pray this is a good decision.

You close the diary and place it in your desk. The day is still young, so you leave your room and consider the various chores left to be done around the Cathedral.
